Oh well...CSU has got to stop "settling" with their residental projects.

HUBZ....are the renderings you saw of the townhomes at the meeting much different (if yes in what way) than the rendering posted above. I hope so...those pictured have just got to go. Gald to see they are thinking of burying the electrical lines...I hope this does not cost an arm and a leg and will happen.

^please tell me your little winking guy means we are not going to have three pages of discussion regarding the parking situation around CSU again. Does anybody know if that huge warehouse looking building (I think it use to house Doan Electric) is going to be torn down as part of this development?

Cleveland Heights-South Euclid: Oakwood Commons
By the way, I read an article a couple of weeks ago which stated Lowe's is closing 20 underperforming stores and cutting the annual number of new store openings from 30 a year to about 15.

Cleveland Heights-South Euclid: Oakwood Commons
^ugh...does that include all the asphalt up front.

Cleveland Heights-South Euclid: Oakwood Commons
^Maybe that will be Schneider's way of punishing Cleveland Hts....although as a resident of CH and a person who has never been in a Wal-Mart in my life, I personally would not see it as any great loss (although the loss of tax revenue would hurt aswell as the big gap at Severance).

^As I understand it, the Euclid project has a long way to go before there will be any ground breaking.

Cleveland: Battery Park
there is a long battery park thread. People on this board have posted there in the past with their thoughts on living there. Check it out.

Cleveland: University Circle (General): Development and News
Sounds like both the Student Center and Hotel will be breaking ground soon based on Murray Hill's post. Note that while certain key UC projects will be winding down in 2012 (such as first phase of uptown, MOCA, Hazel Road Apartments) new major projects will be taking their place in 2012 such as the hotel, the student center, Circle Visa (is that correct?), the addition to CIA and the Cedar/UC rapid station. Lots to look forward to (although what I want to see is Phase 2 of Uptown and the development of Lot 45...both are key to creating a complete neighborhood)(plus the Mayfield Rd. rapid station but I don't have the warm fuzzies for the project right now from a $$$ standpoint).

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
Again great to see the "small guy" making a difference in a neighborhood...here is hoping that some of the energy from the Lorain-25th area can transfer north on 25th. In various threads, posters are always suggesting that this area or that area would be perfect for high rise apartments (dispite the obvious cost issues we have discussed). I have always thought that the perfect location (if the ground is stable enough) for a high rise apartment would be the southeast corner of Detroit and 25th (something like 25-30 stories). Incredible views of the downtown skyline, the Flats, the Detrioit -Superior bridge and the lake. Plus, you have the more neighborhood feel of Ohio City at your door step and all that is going on 25th, but then can just walk across the bridge and be in the heart of downtown. I would live is such a building in a heartbeat.

CLEVELAND - Towpath and Terminal
May Day you sure do know how to handle that camera of yours. In one of the panaroma shots from the Terminal Tower you can clearly make out the graffiti on top of the old Warner and Swasey Building on 55th and Carnegie which must be 2-3 miles away. All the pics are great.

Cleveland: Jack Cleveland Casino
^Also notice what looks to be a port-to-potty (is that spelling even close?) at the front of the building which is usally evidence of construction workers.

Looks like MayDay's pic confirms GoTribe's speculation (and his response to clevecane's question) regarding the yellow crane unloaded on Ontario a while back.

Cleveland: University Circle: Uptown (UARD)
^that is correct Strap and thanks for the educated guess on the removal. I would have thought they would want to get the siding on before the bad weather starts. If this is the case they better get moving.

Cleveland: University Circle: Uptown (UARD)
^Any clue what this means?

Cleveland: Midtown: Development and News
^See the discussion on pages 23 and 24 of the Uptown thread for reasons why high rises are not even possible in a hot area like University Circle.

Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
^I agree with you about Myxx. Every time I drive by, even on the weekend, it looks practically empty (easy to see with all the windows). However, this past Saturday I drove by about 11:15 pm and it was packed.

Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
^If that is true I have two words for you...Prospect Avenue (or maybe four words Huron Road).

Cleveland: Midtown: Development and News
The Crain's article mentions that the 128,000 square foot MidTown Tech Park (the new Geis building) is nearly filled. Is that true? I have read in the past that they had many promising leads, but first time I have heard that is it actually nearly fully leased.

Cleveland: University Circle (General): Development and News
^I am assuming the point of your post in that, contrary to some of the assertions in above posts, there are some apartments going for over $3,000.00 in Cleveland (or at least the posted price...I would imagine at that level you can negotiate).
