Cleveland: Scranton Peninsula: Development and News
I meant downtown between Public Square and the Interbelt but you can include all of Euclid if you like.

^I second the meh. Looks like CSU doesn't have a clue what it wants. Only thing that is clear is that it has no money.

Brook Park: New Cleveland Browns Stadium
^yeah I still cannot get over that Haslam is still including county money in his formula.

Cleveland: Downtown: Skyline 776 (City Club Apartments)
Could they get in trouble with Planning Commission if they do this? Deviating from the approved design without further approval.

Cleveland: Detroit-Shoreway / Gordon Square Arts District: Development News
I have a vague recollection of whatever is going in on that corner before Planning Commission and I think also before Board of Zoning Appeals. I think the curb cut was one topic of discussion as well as the set back.

Cleveland: Midtown: Development and News
It will be interesting to see if WXZ reveals its plans and timeline as part of its presentation. Maybe they are now planning to do this in phases with the renovation first. Of course, having to mobilize twice does seem to be a waste of money, but maybe they can’t get funding for the whole project at the current time. I guess we’ll see.

Cleveland: Midtown: Development and News
So is WXZ Development's Monmouth Building Renovation project on Euclid (uptown). Schematic approval. This after I scolded them in another thread earlier today (I am sure their ears are burning) for not moving forward on a number of planned development projects. Still they have a couple of projects where they have had final city approval for a long time (more than a year) and still no movement.

Cleveland: Which Project Will Be Next and Why
I see the Vibe in Ohio City happening sooner rather than later. The developer seems motivated.

Cleveland Development Map
Renovation of former UCC is on going as well as Erieview Tower to name a couple more. I glad to see WXZ is finally starting Taylor Tudors. They are missing in action on a number of their other proposed projects.

Oxford / Miami University: Development and News
Exactly. And it is not like it is in no man's land. It is right across the street from all the north quad dorms and multiple frats. If attendance is the issue, put a good team together . My freshman and sophomore years (when dinosaurs rule the earth) we had a great team and attendance was always between 5,000-7,000. One game with UC approached 11,000 with students ringing the court. I think the bigger issue is that MAC sports are less of a big deal with students these days with all the multiple distractions that we just did not have.

Cleveland: Which Project Will Be Next and Why
As much I would love to see Centennial activated, as i am fearful at this point it is going to sit vacant for a long time, I still don't see how this works economically. It will probably cost a fortune to build out all the courtrooms. The judges are not going to stand for low ceiling courtrooms so they will have to cut between floors multiple times. The judges have been one of the biggest hang ups to getting this done to date. I would imagine retro fitting to meet modern day security standards would also be costly. Starting from scratch would probably be more economical, although still cost a fortune. Just my uneducated construction industry opinion.

I think we have scared him away with all our inquires and, dare I say, veiled sarcasm. I believe that line is starting to top "world class signage" as our Cleveland UO inside joke.

Next? I am hoping sometime in my lifetime.

Oxford / Miami University: Development and News
Almost as bad as putting it on Slant Walk (which would have been a crime). Don't see why they just don't put it in front of the current Millett Hall. Seems like plenty of space, especially after they tear Millett down, and plenty of parking. I would also add more facilities for club sports

Maybe for soil analysis drilling as part of preliminary design work. I do not believe the project has even been before planning commission for conceptual.

I love it when people suggest retail in these isolated outposts when even retail on Euclid Avenue is a tough go.

Cleveland: Shaker Square: Development and News
I hope so too, but after watching the presentation at Landmarks and reading Ken's article I am not getting a "development is imminent" vibe. I am sure they are going to be hunting for a whole slew of public subsidies which take time under the best circumstances, and which might be more difficult to secure in the future as Cleveland officials encounter a landscape where federal monies to municipalities are not going to be flowing that freely, if at all. Hope I am wrong.

I note this is pretty common in football stadiums in Europe. Usually the whole name.

Cleveland City Council
Not a Spencer fan. I could list a whole host of problems I have with her (and they are not all development related) but I will leave it go at that. I have more serious issues with many other council members but again, just my opinions and won't bore you with them. I was not surprised by McCormack. My guess is that he is young but is reaching an age where he understands he is going to actually have to start making some real money at his job if he wants to start a family or have a secure retirement.

Looks like they’ve incorporated a big C into the seat design right behind home plate.

Cleveland: University Circle (General): Development and News
What always intrigued me about UH‘s main campus is that you can walk from the corner of Euclid and Cornell all the way to the top of Adelbert and never go outside. Moreover, as you weave around the various hallways and passageways in the complex with a confused look on your face UH staff will approach you and ask you if they can help you with directions. I can’t tell you how many times I have been approached by everyone from doctors to nurses to administrators to janitors asking if they could help me without even asking.

It is directly behind Voss and the Voss alley is directly aligned with the main front entrance to this building.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
The neighborhood engagement, which the developer touted (obviously to help with zoning and design approval), revealed that people were opposed to ideas like this.
