Cleveland: Downtown Office Buildings Updates
Very informative article but also slightly disappointing. Based on numerous posts in other threads, while nothing has been announced, I was under the impression that the Cross County move to Superior was practically a done deal. Hardly sounds like that. Are the DiGeronimos (spelling) gumming up the works again with an aggressive pitch to a guy with a somewhat suburban mindset himself? Of course they have every right to do so and would be crazy not to get this plum business onto their land. Also less of a blow than a Cleveland company "moving" to Brecksville since Cross County is already located in that suburb, but still...

Cleveland: Downtown: The Lumen
This project in no way came to fruition quickly. It was probably in the planning stage for 4-5 years if not longer as Playhouse Square Foundation sought seed money from the state and searched for a developer partner which they could not find in the end because private developers were having trouble making the numbers work. MayDay's comment above is 100% on point.

Nothing beats the Barons. Name, logo and sitting squashed in the Cleveland Arena.

Canal Basin Park and Lake Link Trail
I keep looking on line for any information detailing when Canal Basic Park will start moving forward in any meaningful way. Do they actually have a the needed $$$? It seems like another one of those projects in town that is taking forever to get going.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Church+State (West 29th & Detroit Ave)
Great. But all aspirational and unannounced. Not going to be built in 18 months per the coffee shop hopefuls.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Church+State (West 29th & Detroit Ave)
What buildings are those other than Church and State (since again Market Square office is an unknown at this point)?

Cleveland: Ohio City: Church+State (West 29th & Detroit Ave)
Glad to hear people are excited about Ohio City but I think that is a slight exaggeration, especially relative to Canton and Youngstown (don't know much about Springfield other than the McDonalds off of Interstate 70 which we always stopped at on the way to school). Since the office component of Market Square has been pushed down an unknown road I can't think of anything really tall scheduled for the near future (at least nothing that has been announced).

East 12th, There are renderings up thread.

Beachwood: Development and News
I believe it was known that Pottery Barn was leaving ever since Pinecrest appeared and they opened a store there. Just riding out their lease at BP. The Gap is closing stores nationwide. I wonder if they are going to even open somewhere else on the east side like Legacy or Pinecrest. With Gap closing the lower level Dillards wing is going to seem even more dead than it already is. Lots of space to fill there.

Orange Village: Pinecrest
That whole "development" across from Pinecrest is stuck in the 70's in terms of planning and form. (just like most of what has been built in that area over the years)

Cleveland: Ohio City: INTRO (Market Square / Harbor Bay Development)
Atlanta. Couldn't help myself.

Orange Village: Pinecrest
My guess is that the placement, especially all the surface parking upfront was a Whole Foods demand.

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
Good for you @urbanetics_ Stay positive. I get cranky after following Cleveland development for 50 years and seeing one major plan after another all over town getting proposed and then going down the toilet without a second thought. What we really need is a lakefront czar and lots of $$$

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
Okay I am going to be that person. What exactly were they "celebrating". I can't imagine any major American city that talks and discusses and plans things like this as much as we without getting anything major done. And while the "current" plan is ONLY 15 years old the yacking and hand wringing has been going on for more like 40 years.

Cleveland: Little Italy: Development and News
Isn't it actually under construction per @marty15 picture or are you saying it reflects a different project?
-
Cleveland: Little Italy: Development and News
Ugh. As much as I am pro Little Italy development I was hoping this thing had died or at least has changed substantially from the initial renderings. Why is this getting built and the LI crazies are putting up such a fight in connection with the Hemingway project by the Washington Inn (by the way still trying to determine what happen at the Nov 11 2019 Board of Zoning Review in connection with the Washington Inn project. NIMBYS were appealing the Planning Commission's approval of that project. I cannot find anything online. Does anybody know?)

Cleveland: Downtown: nuCLEus
So with the amendments, if it ever does get voted out of the House, does it have to go back to the Senate or do they form a conference committee like in the US Congress?
-
Cleveland: Midtown: Development and News
I just google street viewed the address. That area of Euclid looks like it must have in 1840.?

Cleveland: Downtown: nuCLEus
5th hearing? What is left to talk about, especially since this is the second go around in the house?

The Official *I Love Cleveland* Thread
Are we really this needy. If you saw the interview he was just being polite and admitted he didn't have a clue what was going on at the Browns games. If we really want to send some love it should be to the Russo brothers who have genuinely supported the Cleveland film industry the best they could over the years starting with "Welcome to Collinwood"

Cleveland: Random Development and News
I may completely wrong and @KJP would have to confirm one way or another, but I think this speculation on this mega projection has gone in the wrong direction. It has been a while since KJP's post (and I cannot even recall what thread) but I think KJP was referencing a possible "real estate project or development" and not a particular company. When he said bigger than Progressive I think he meant the potential development will/would be bigger than the proposed Progressive Building project from the early nineties, not that a company bigger than Progressive is moving to town. Again I could be wrong but that is my memory of the exchange.

Cleveland: Ohio City: INTRO (Market Square / Harbor Bay Development)
Do you know what businesses are still operating in the strip center?
-
Cleveland: Duck Island: Development and News
Yes really. The plant choices are ridiculous. The evergreens in the front look like arborvitaes which, in my opinion, are totally inappropriate for that location (bordering a side walk-they are usually used for screening, often between houses). The will get tall and basically block the house. And what's with the short planting behind the tall. Very strange. No thought given to this landscaping at all. Looks like somebody just got a deal on some bushes and put them anywhere. Low care landscaping could have been done much better at little cost.

Cleveland: University Circle: Circle Square
Which I guess means the whole project is not imminent unless they decide to start on the Chester side once the station is down which I don't think is the plan . So sigh.

Cleveland: Duck Island: Development and News
Really like the single family homes. Wish (as usual) they would have given some thought to the landscaping.
