Well, there is a Shake Shack. Now that Euclid has been transformed, Prospect should be next. That is the the part of downtown that visitors attending events at Progressive Field, RMFH and Wolstein Center are seeing.

I wonder if 9th & Euclid was the best location for a grocery store. Would another location have been better?

I'm sure SHW was more concerned about making a functional building rather than its skyline appearance. But perhaps it could have been tapered a bit towards the top so only the upper floors would have smaller floor plates.

Before heading to the ballgame last Saturday, we stopped in at around 11:30 am. Only a handful of people were in there. The hot food section was not yet open. Is it not open on the weekend? I figured there would be more activity with 30K+ people in the vicinity.

And how adding a rail/trolley museum. There was a group hoping to do that several years ago after Trolleyville USA closed, but they were unable to find a suitable location. I believe many of the trolley cars ended up in Lodi.

Cleveland seemed to embrace Brutalism in the 60s/early 70s. I suppose that was the case in other cities as well.

The $3B price tag is based on the completion of all phases of the master plan which will probably take a couple decades. So I assume they are factoring in inflation. Each phase is based on passenger levels. I am I bit skeptically about all phases being completed even if CLE reaches those passenger levels.

In hindsight, it might have been wise if Forest City developed Tower City on a smaller scale with two levels instead of three.

In a way, it has. Many suburban home days and church festivals have been disrupted in recent years by unruly mobs.

Agreed. As soon as they see police, they scatter like cockroaches. They need to find a way to prevent these events from getting started.

The problem with Bedrock riverfront is that anything built there will not likely be skyline changing due to the lower elevation. IMO the best location is the former nuCLEus site. I believe it is now the largest parking crater in CBD, it is shovel ready and it would fill a gap in the skyline between the towers at Public Square and those on E 9th.

CLE seems to be lagging behind CVG and PIT for some reason. Both have more INTL service than CLE. Is leadership at CLE not aggressive enough?

I suppose the jury is still out on CLE director Francis, but so far I am not impressed.
