Well, I think many were opposed to a stadium at the current site. But a new stadium on the Burke property is a bit different. Yes, it would still be on the lakefront, but it would be farther away from the heart of downtown. It would open up the current stadium site for development as well as the area surrounding the new stadium. The building height restrictions imposed by the FAA for Burke would be eliminated. So Burke finally goes away and the stadium remains in Cleveland. That sounds like a win win.

That's the same mayor who sold off NASA Glenn to Brook Park in exchange for the IX Center for a new runway that was never built.

If CLE exceeds 10M this year, I assume it will then be in the "large" category and perhaps will fare better.

I wonder how often the CC ballroom is used? Will it be used less frequently with the new addition? Is a window/light really necessary?

Doesn't the CVSRR go right past Boston Mills? Seems like that would be more viable for ski trains in the winter, assuming the CVSRR could operate during the winter.

I M Pei (aka I M Well Paid) should have tweaked the design of the backside when they moved the rock hall to the harbor.

It sure would be nice if they could do something with the rather unattractive backside of the rock hall. Maybe add some glass panels that light up at night in various colors. The top floor of the tower seems to be unused now, or at lease it was the last time I visited. I believe it was originally where the inductees were displayed, but they have been moved to another location. Perhaps they could install a few windows and convert it to a sky lounge. There would likely be some nice views of the city and lake from there.

I shop there quite often. Surprising, but not surprising.

Another thing that kind of irks me is that Key Tower dwarfs all the other towers. That's why I was hoping SHW would have gone taller, maybe 750-800' which would have given the skyline a little more balance. Oh well. I guess we'll have to wait for that skyline changing development.

I was thinking about the Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, but the capacity is only 23,000. I believe Jacobs Field aka Progressive Field was designed to accommodate football, but the capacity has been downsized over the years. I think it is now about 35K for baseball, not sure what it would be for football.

I think adding a roof to the existing stadium would be very costly and the way it would have to be done would look hideous.

Yes, I remember it. I never attended an event there. It didn't look like a very attractive venue or location.

Oh well. That's going to happen when new towers are built. I would have preferred it being taller and a bit more slender. I doubt SHW was concerned about what other buildings would be blocked from view.
