  1. If Deadman's Curve ever get fixed correctly, ODOT will need to obtain a portion of the Burke property to do so. So that would leave about 400 acres. 😀
  2. ^ This is why I was not very excited when they announced all the new routes earlier this year.

  11. Hopefully, the flag never gets tangled up, otherwise he would have to shimmy up the flagpole to free it. I believe the elevator only goes to the observation deck on the 42nd floor, so it is necessary to ascend several spiral staircases to get to the top. It would have been nice to see some of that also.
  12. Actually, a mini amusement park might not be a bad idea, maybe similar to San Diego's Belmont Park.

  14. I don't think the lack of nonstop flights is an issue. Just because there is no nonstop flight from a particular cities doesn't mean they can't get here. And if it is a regional convention, most attendees are probably driving rather than flying.
  15. Yes, Cleveland has a lot to offer. Unfortunately, I think it is still perceived by many who have not been here recently as an old rust belt city with crappy weather. There was an issue with a lack of hotel rooms at one time, but I'm not sure that is still the case.
  16. I liked the Hal Artz commercials. They were always classy, and he always said "Thank you" at the end.
  17. The skyline does look more balanced from the south as there is now a tower west of the big 3.
  18. ^ I hope they all paid.
  19. A shame we have to worry about such things now. Not sure if we will ever get back to the way things used to be.
  20. It seems like it will have to happen eventually. It should have been done a long time ago.
  21. Not lately. I believe the big shows only used a portion of the available space. How often do they actually use all that space?
  22. Well, Cleveland also has the IX center for really big shows.
  23. Just when you think things can't get any worse in EC, things get worse.
  24. And will the size now be comparable to convention facilities in other nearby cities - Columbus, Indy, etc?
  25. Phase 2 usually means forget about it.
