  1. Nice. Now that Euclid Ave has been revitalized, let's see the same happen on Prospect.

Let's see how it goes. The NBA is now a players league. It's all about keeping the key players happy. We were skeptical about the Guardian's choice for manager, but that seems to be working out OK.
  3. Here is non-paywalled article. https://www.news5cleveland.com/news/local-news/former-medical-mutual-hq-in-downtown-cleveland-set-for-100-million-makeover
  4. Delta bringing back nonstop to Salt Lake City. https://www.cleveland.com/travel/2024/06/delta-air-lines-bringing-back-cleveland-nonstop-route-to-western-hub-city.html
  5. As long as PS remains a hub for RTA, I don't think we can expect much more. Perhaps at some point in the future, Superior can be closed to create a unified square which would make it a bit more park-like, kind of a mini version of Boston Common. But that won't happen as long as the FTA is preventing the city from doing so.
  6. There are too many dark buildings downtown already - Lausche State Office, US Bank, Oswald, 1111 Superior, Erieview. No more please.
  7. It sure would be nice to see a mural on the side of the Standard Building someday.
  8. Detroit-Superior Veterans Memorial Bridge will be open for exploration this weekend. https://www.freshwatercleveland.com/features/Veterans_Memorial_Bridge_Tours_062024.aspx?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR3nnx6L1B5oW0j2E_1k01yLTIf3MHZhH_jXBVMfzRtVStNra6d1qYDS0aQ_aem_ZmFrZWR1bW15MTZieXRlcw
  9. Any info on Valspar employees being relocated here?
  10. Right. I don't know who is clamoring for a better fan experience. Maybe those in the suites sipping on cocktails during the game. Certainly not the average fan.
  11. I believe the first rib cook-off was on the mall and admission was free and I don't think there was any music. In subsequent years, they added rock bands and it became a rib-n-rock event with an admission fee. Then, several other communities got on the bandwagon and started doing rib-n-rock events.
  12. Good grief. I can't believe we're having a debate about whether a smokestack stays or goes. There are lots of other smokestacks in Cleveland that will still be around.
  13. Does the Mayor's vehicle always go through red lights?

    10¢ Beer Night in Cincy?
  15. That's probably what everyone was saying when the Van Sweringen brothers unveiled their plans for Terminal Tower complex.
  16. https://www.latimes.com/obituaries/story/2024-06-12/jerry-west-lakers-showtime-dead#:~:text=Jerry West%2C the legendary Lakers,impossibly high standards%2C has died.
  17. There are plenty of smokestacks in Cleveland. Losing one will not be a big deal, especially one so close to downtown.

After losing the first 3 games vs Hershey, the Monsters have stormed back and tied the series at 3-3!
  19. Many people look forward to attending these events during the summer. And they do generate lots of revenue for the church or organization. It would be a shame to cancel them due to unruly brats. Unfortunately, many have already been canceled in recent years for this reason.
  20. And again. Wtf is wrong with these kids? 😠 https://www.cleveland.com/news/2024/06/unruly-crowds-overwhelm-officers-at-st-gabriels-festival-saturday-event-closes-early-today.html
  21. CLE-DUB should probably be daily during the summer months.
  22. Akron is in Cleveland MSA.
  23. Yes, it would still be on the lakefront, but it would be farther from downtown. And it would still be in the city of Cleveland. It's probably a long shot, but I just thought I'd toss it out there.
  24. If Burke closes, could it be a potential site for a new stadium?
