Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
We are all thrilled to see the surface parking lots gone. As for the tower, it's OK. It fills another void in the skyline. I would have preferred it being a bit taller and gradually tapered towards the top. It's unlikely we will see any towers of substantial height downtown in the foreseeable future, so that is why I was hoping this would be taller.

Cleveland Guardians Discussion
They definitely need a new logo. The flying baseball looks very minor league-ish.

Cleveland: General Business & Economic News
Attendance at the aforementioned venues and travel at record levels can probably be chalked up to post-pandemic rebound moreso than the state of the economy.

Cleveland Monsters Discussion
The Monsters completed a sweep of the Syracuse Crunch last night. They are now advancing to the next round.

Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
So this would replace a stadium on the lakefront with... a stadium on the lakefront.

Cleveland: Which Project Will Be Next and Why
We haven't been hearing anything about Rocket Mortgage in a while. Rather than building new, I wonder if they would consider moving into Landmark after SHW vacates?

Confused about the ODOT project area. Are you referring to the staging area for the innerbelt construction? And why are you blaming Columbus?

Cleveland: Hotel Development
But were all the rooms available? Probably not.

Cleveland: Hotel Development
Hotel Cleveland will be re-opening next month which will add nearly 500 rooms downtown. And the Fidelity Hotel in the Baker Building should be ready in the fall, although it will only be about 100 rooms. Not sure what happened with Dream Hotel. Apparently it was just a pipe dream.

Yes, it is. Looks like a scene from Night of the Living Dead.

Cleveland: Population Trends
Hard to believe there were 914K in Cleveland at one time. I know families were larger back then and there were lots of two family homes. Huge drop of 177K from 1970 to 1980 due to many factors.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
A shame our pro sports teams never seem to get a break. Although it was unlikely the Cavs were going to win this series, it would have been more interesting with everyone healthy.

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
I assume a tall, skyline changing tower on the nuCLEus site would appear between Terminal Tower and the Stokes Courthouse from this vantage point.

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
I didn't realize the Van Sweringen brothers died so soon after the completion of Terminal Tower. Both were gone by 1936.

Cleveland Guardians Discussion
I realize that, but they are playing the worst team in baseball. Kwan's absence just magnifies the ineptitude of the starting lineup. Several of them aren't even hitting .200.

And the beat goes on. Guardian have forgotten how to score runs.

Cleveland Monsters Discussion
A shame the Indians didn't win it all that year. It would have been 3 championships for Cleveland in the same year. The last time that happened was 1948 with the Indians, Browns and Barons.

Thanks. Seems like more and more articles on that site are paywalled.. That will likely be the case for every article soon.

Guardians can't beat the lowly White Sox. Wth?

Cleveland Monsters Discussion
Apparently the Monsters won last night and are advancing to the next series, but I don't see it reported anywhere. Wth?

East of Horizon Academy - is that the site of the First Energy facility that was torn down a few years ago?

Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
IIRC, Mileti wanted to stay downtown but got no support from the city and thus looked elsewhere.
