  1. IMO either Browns stadium or Burke needs to go. Having both on the downtown lakefront is ridiculous.
  2. And my brain is scrambled as well. I can't believe the only two options are renovating the current stadium or building a dome in Brook Park.
  3. Looking good. Just need to fill a few more gaps.
  4. I was a Lake View Cemetery a few weeks ago and saw lots of people strolling and also saw people having a picnic on the lawn.
  5. Methinks they screwed up by not going taller with the first one
  6. ^ Hopefully the "new development" surrounding the parking garage will look like this:
  7. They have recently addressed the evening rush hour bottleneck on I-480 westbound at I-71 by squeezing in a 3rd lane on the section over SR 237.
  8. Personally, I would rather see the land used for airport expansion - long term parking, rental car facilities, hotels, etc. However, I wonder if it would be problematic with the land being in Brook Park and the airport being in Cleveland. I suppose annexation would resolve that.
  9. Eventually the parcels along W 6th and St. Clair will be developed which should mostly conceal those sides of the parking garage. Hopefully, that will happen relatively soon.
  10. Can we see a daytime rendering?
  11. I think Berea would be a better place for "Browns World".

    Welp, this isn't good. https://www.wkyc.com/article/sports/nba/cavaliers/report-cavaliers-center-jarrett-allen-questionable-game-5-with-rib-contusion/95-7f5f93c3-23f2-4aef-bc03-586b3710984f
  13. And it would still be an open-air stadium. What is the issue with the current stadium that requires such a costly renovation?

  15. Yeah, that area is definitely in need of some TLC. Perhaps some mid-rise residential there. But we are digressing. We better get back to SHW.
  16. Yes, SHW 2. And a 600 footer on the nuCLEus site. And a tower at 8th & Prospect. And a tower or two at 9th & Bolivar. And Lumen 2 at 13th & Chester.
  17. Agreed. They were very pessimistic about passenger numbers returning to pre-pandemic levels. Their estimate was 2025 and thus was the beginning timeline for the first phase of the project. The master plan website is apparently not being monitored. I have received no response from several questions I sent over the last couple years.
  18. There is a big difference between Cleveland and Chicago. Cleveland lakefront is cluttered with a lot of non-accessible areas. That is not the case in Chicago, so putting a stadium on their lakefront is not a big deal.

Maybe because Cincy doesn't have an NBA team. But I would think their odds are slim due to NHL in Columbus.

With the NHL in Columbus, it is unlikely Cleveland will ever be considered. A shame the NHL Barons of the mid-70s did not get a chance to build a fan base. It was bad timing as they arrived in 1976 when Cleveland sports fans were all gaga over the Cavs after the "Miracle at Richfield" season. The Barons got stuck with a lot of crappy playing dates at the Coliseum. They were gone two years later, folded into the Minnesota North Stars.
  22. Probably not. They dragged their feet for several years before finally getting started. I doubt that will be the case for HQ2.
  23. ^ Agreed. I believe they did reduce the footprint of the garage to allow more space for the parcels surrounding it. Hopefully, they will be developed relatively soon.

It would be nice if they got a little more media attention.
