Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
I prefer the city's park focused proposal. Haslam's and Bedrock's proposals are development focused and IMO it is unlikely both can happen.

Cleveland: Downtown: Progressive Field
Welp, I guess it's a little better than the shipping containers, but IMO still not a good look.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
And the Steelers have won how many championships since then?

Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
The old Richfield Coliseum, built with NO tax dollars, had a monopoly on parking. Initially it was $2 for general parking and $3 for preferred parking. I think general was up to $6 during it's final year.

I heard that the old Sheraton hotel will be coming down soon.

Cleveland: Random Photos
So many beautiful old churches in Cleveland have been destroyed by fire over the years. St Agnes on Euclid at E 80th and St Joseph on Woodland are two that come to mind. I'm sure there were others.

And the GUARdians logo on the uniforms looks very minor league-ish. Ugh.

Does the $2B for the Brook Park site include all the road work - re-routing SR 237, additional highway ramps & interchanges, etc. I'm guessing the answer is no.

Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
OK. Well relocate it elsewhere in the city then.

Cleveland: Downtown: Progressive Field
I hope Progressive ponied up more money for the additional signage.

Haslam is really obsessed with parking. What if the correctional facility next to the post office is relocated to the new site in Garfield Hts. Perhaps that property could be used for more parking.

Maybe they will be removing the smaller one below.

If a new stadium is going to be built, let's not put it on the lakefront. We already made that mistake once. And I doubt the FAA would allow any structure of that size to be built there.

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
Thanks, @surfohio. Too bad that never happened. I think some of those trolleys were sold off but a believe the rest of them are at a museum near Lodi now.

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
No. It was this: https://www.farmanddairy.com/news/new-crawford-museum-gets-500000-federal-appropriation/4071.html

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
Several years ago, there was a group that was proposing to build a world-class aquarium on the lakefront. However, that ended when Jacobs opened an aquarium in the Powerhouse. There was also a plan for a transportation museum somewhere on the lakefront, I think near Burke airport. But I believe there was a funding shortfall. They will definitely need to build something that will attract visitors year-round.

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
Artistic license I suppose. Also, Terminal Tower looks shorter.

And seeing that space open after the old stadium was torn down and before the new stadium started going up was amazing. But those 10-12 days could be offset by year-round events/activities in that space.

Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
I think it started a bit sooner - late 80s/early 90s, berfore the Browns moved.

Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
I would rather see the Brookpark property used for expanding Hopkins landside operations.
-
Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
If it goes to Brookpark, it better be funded solely by Haslam with NO tax dollars.
-
Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
Yes, it is definitely a huge improvement over what's there now. If the players will be practicing here instead of in Independence, I assume that will result in more income tax revenue for the City of Cleveland.

Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
Losing the Browns to Brookpark would be bad enough. But also losing the Guardians and potential ballpark village would be devastating for downtown. Let's pray that never happens.

Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
I agree with Tom Chema. And if the post office site isn't feasible, surely there must be other sites within Cleveland. How about the Transport Road site that was being considered for the new jail? Or the site of the demolished CEI/First Energy plant near Gordon Park?

Option 3 - leave the current stadium as-is.
