  1. If parking garages have a limited lifespan, what does that mean for buildings on top of parking garages, such as Beacon?
  2. Perhaps the real reason for the installation of blue seats is to match all the Progressive signage.
  3. I'd like to see the parking garage next to St. John's Cathedral on E 9th go away someday.
  4. Yes, it is good news. Although it will likely result in their current building remaining vacant for quite a while.
  5. If SHW needs another building for their affiliated businesses, I wonder if this site would be a possibility and how tall would they be able to build?
  6. They should have just added 12 stories to HQ1.

  8. I thought the green seats looked OK - they blended in with the grass on the field. It's possible some of the new seats will be padded, at least those in the pricier sections. The team sent me a survey last year asking lots of questions about the seats and I remember there were a few about whether or not the seats should be padded.
  9. Now let's fill some more of those parking lots.
  10. I thought this thread was locked?
  11. The open space in upper right doesn't look very good IMO. Maybe they can put up banners of Feller, Boudreau, Doby, etc. in that space to honor them as they did previously when the shipping containers were there.
  12. What about all the out-of-state license plates that were being spotted here during the pandemic - did they all go back to their home states?
  13. It ain't over til it's over.
  14. It sure would be nice if they could do something with that ugly backside, maybe install some glass panels that light up at night. I M Pei (aka I M Well Paid) should have tweaked the design of the backside when the Rock Hall was moved from Tower City to the harbor.
  15. They don't want fans chanting "Flacco! Flacco!" whenever Watson gets sacked or throws an INT.
  16. The first phase is supposed to expand the terminal to the south. I believe the plan is to eventually move the front of the terminal outward, but that will be in one of the later phases.
  17. Yes, of course I realize that. But they got the ball rolling much sooner.
  18. Very sad. Other cities have been building new airport facilities in recent years, but here it's studying, planning, analyzing, ...
  19. Unfortunately, renderings almost always look better than the completed version.
  20. JetBlue ends bid to buy Spirit Airlines. https://www.wkyc.com/article/news/nation-world/jetblue-spirit-ending-proposed-merger-after-court-ruling-blocked-deal/507-edc6b24c-f586-4aa8-8e26-30b2357c1c23
  21. Bedrock's riverfront project seems overly optimistic. I'm not sure who will be filling all those buildings. Cleveland isn't exactly a growing, vibrant city. I'm a bit skeptical.
  22. According to a report I read, the $175M includes demolition of the old Sheraton hotel.
  23. ^ I believe the cost for the first phase has risen to around $1B and the cost for all phases is now around $3B. So I don't know what the $175M will cover, hopefully more than just planning, studying and analyzing. I guess we'll have to wait for Jarboe to do an article so we can get some clarity.
  24. Nor do the numerous surface parking lots.
