  1. I know. But I'm still worried. I doubt it will be possible to fill all those buildings, even in 30 years. Remember that the Warehouse District parcels including the prime Jacobs lot were surface parking for 30+ years until SHW started building their new HQ. The courthouse is apparently going elsewhere. It doesn't look like Cliffs will be doing anything in the foreseeable future. Even Rocket Mortgage is now sounding iffy. The Centennial developer is still trying to figure out what to do with that huge building. Landmark and Medical Mutual will soon be vacant and will need to be filled. The NuCLEus site is still a parking lot 10 years after it was proposed. The Flats East Bank development is limping along at a snails pace. I'm sure Bedrock will do something, but the riverfront development just seems way too aggressive and will likely need to be scaled down. Sorry, just being realistic.
  2. I'm getting a little worried about the Bedrock plan. It seems like they may need to scale it down.
  3. I know the game is in Houston, but based on the current weather, they should seriously consider a stadium with a roof, and preferably a retractable roof.
  4. I think the lighter orange-ish color looked better.
  5. Let's hope it looks as good when completed. The renderings of the previous renovation were a little deceptive, specifically pertaining to right field upper deck.
  6. That would be ideal. It would put them in a good spot size-wise - larger than the Playhouse Square theaters but smaller than RMFH. Also need to keep in mind RMFH is a busy place with Cavs, Monsters, ice shows, concerts, etc., so it may not be available for events that require a date in a specific timeframe. And if the Vikings can regain the prominence they achieved during the Mackey era, they could start drawing much larger crowds.
  7. I assume it's too late to add 20 more floors. Or is it?
  8. Oh, so the did use caissons? I didn't know that. Being as frugal as SHW is, I thought they went with the least expensive option.
  9. Is HQ1 as tall as they could have gone without requiring a more costly foundation?

  11. Just another fluff story to fill the hour-long newcast. I tend to avoid watching Fox 8 news for this reason.
  12. CLE announces plan to renovate restrooms. https://www.wkyc.com/article/news/local/cleveland/cleveland-hopkins-international-airport-restroom-renovations/95-4ce73eef-1afe-4eee-baa7-28a00c475b21
  13. Most of us will be gone in 30 years.
  14. If they end up building a new stadium, they could dump the remains of the current stadium in there.
  15. So $300M is substantial cheaper than moving a small section of the highway? Wow. Opportunity Corridor cost about $300M and that was 3 miles.
  16. And why was this location selected?
  17. Hopefully we will see some towers of significant height on the parking lots in that district in the not too distant future.
  18. Perhaps some trees on that side will conceal a portion of it.
  19. Yeah, it looks rather sterile, but maybe that's just a primer coat.

  21. There should also be space at Tower City, although Bedrock seems to be selecting only local businesses.

  23. That's at the Carnegie/Cedar/E 22nd intersection that is supposed to be reconfigured, although I haven't heard anything about it recently.
  24. Is there any info on when the Hotel Cleveland renovation will be completed? Also, how are things progressing with the Fidelity Hotel on E 6th and Delta Hotel on Euclid in midtown?
  25. Journalism has really gone down the toilet. Which is why I canceled my subscription to the PD several years ago.
