  1. @Pleco Downtown to Peninsula is quite a jaunt. How long did that take? BTW, I also got spooked when biking near Canalway a few years ago. I heard something in the wooded area, not sure what it was, maybe deer, but I got out of there quickly.
  2. Here is a link which contains a photo of the "paper" airplane. https://ianmcconnellphotography.wordpress.com/2011/12/09/cleveland-airport-paper-airplanes/
  3. I did a couple ski trips to Vermont many years ago - both times in December. Yes, the sun sure goes down much earlier there. Of course on the flip side, it rises earlier than it does here. I don't have a problem with the time change twice a year.
  4. Speaking of "Cleveland Beige", the old City Club building on the left could use a good cleaning.
  5. Welcome back, Jimmy. https://www.wkyc.com/article/entertainment/television/jim-donovan-update-after-leukemia-treatment-wkyc-cleveland-browns/95-4cf98976-c23d-40d7-b155-5d49048fdbae

  7. Which is why they should have gone taller with the main HQ.
  8. It does look better close-up than from a distance.
  9. I guess it's wait until next year. Dang. If it wasn't for bad luck. the Browns would have no luck at all.
  10. Well, this sucks. https://www.wkyc.com/article/sports/nfl/browns/cleveland-browns-qb-deshaun-watson-season-ending-surgery/95-c0a8ca3b-c6ef-4fbd-bac1-bb92350c9669
  11. And speaking of Tower City... https://www.cleveland.com/entertainment/2023/11/tower-city-adds-shake-slide-apple-jax-toys-mike-the-hatter.html
  12. We're still waiting for that development on the site of the NY Spaghetti House.
  13. Which is what Forest City should have done instead of trying to emulate Beachwood Place. And perhaps it should have been on a smaller scale with 2 levels instead of 3.
  14. So I thought there needed to be a development planned for a site before a structure could be demolished. Does that not apply in this situation?
  15. Well, there used to be high-end retailers at Tower City, not sure if any are still there. Might have been able to attract more customers there vs. Euclid Ave due to parking and RTA access. And the premises could have been better secured to prevent theft.
  16. Wins vs. 49ers, Colts and Ravens are games they would have lost last year.
  17. Well, at least it looks better than what was there previously.
  18. I would have preferred one taller building. The skyline looks a bit odd with Key Tower dwarfing all the other buildings. Having another tower of similar height would have given Key a companion and would have given the skyline some symmetry. Buildings of 50+ stories are quite common now. Toronto has dozens of them. Yeah, I know Cleveland is no Toronto but geez can't we just get one more?
  19. Hopefully it will look like the Weston's Warehouse District proposal of a few years ago.
  20. I wonder if Geiger's would have done better if they were at Tower City?
  21. Then something else could go on that site. Perhaps a 5 star hotel.
  22. Agreed, but having so much vacant office space downtown is rather disturbing.
  23. United expanding service to Florida. https://www.wkyc.com/article/travel/united-airlines-expanding-service-cleveland-hopkins-international-airport-florida/95-617b6636-a169-4307-b853-7111b526c319
  24. If Frontier ever offers trans-Atlantic service, I would hope they would use an aircraft with more comfortable seating.
