  1. Well, it's not as bad as it was. Several years ago, they did make some modifications to calm the traffic. It was changed to one lane in each direction and the speed limit was reduced.
  2. Alas, poor York. https://www.news5cleveland.com/sports/browns/browns-cut-k-cade-york-trade-for-chargers-k-dustin-hopkins
  3. Well, I suppose anything in NYC has a good chance of being busy. I could be wrong, but I'm guessing there are not many golfers living downtown. I wonder if it would have been better to locate closer to Progressive Field/RMFH where more sports enthusiasts are likely to be hanging out before and after sporting events.
  4. Just a minor nitpick with this one. The upper front behind STATE looks larger than necessary. I wonder why? Maybe they did that in case KeyBank or some other donor decides they want their name added.
  5. One good thing with annexation is it will boost Cleveland's population, although I doubt Cleveland needs any more impoverished residents.
  6. How about Berea? It reminds me of Chagrin Falls, but on a smaller scale. I wish they would have put some retail on the west side of Front/Riverside instead of those townhouses.
  7. I'm OK with Washington being limited. Just go across the river to Arlington if you want to see tall towers.
  8. Yes, it fills the gap nicely.

  10. Wow, those are pretty bad.
  11. It certainly would be nice to see Cleveland come out as a winner. Cleveland has been on the losing end so many times over the last few decades.
  12. Some more info on tax abatement. Not sure what a long baron building is. Maybe that is supposed to be barren? https://www.cleveland.com/realestate-news/2023/08/downtown-clevelands-erieview-tower-redevelopment-approved-for-tax-abatement.html
  13. Right. They don't need any fact checkers.
  14. Maybe getting checked out at CC for his upcoming fight with Zuckerberg.
  15. Pittsburgh Cliffs?
  16. And we could probably include Reserve Square (originally Park Centre), although it is not nearly as bad as the aforementioned. There are a few others that don't really impact the skyline, such as Tri C Metro campus. But we are digressing. Let's get back to Tower City.
  17. Agreed. Cleveland skyline does look rather stodgy compared to other cities. Too many Brutalist buildings. Fortunately it is finally starting to change.
  18. If Rocket Mortgage wants to get out of the Higbee building when their lease expires, they better get cracking on a new building pretty soon.
  19. I was wondering about that myself. When zooming in on downtown Cleveland, Flat East Bank is under construction. Public Square is still 4 quadrants. No Beacon. No Lumen. Wth?
  20. OC should have been a freeway IMO.
  21. Several years ago, way before the pandemic, it was reported the Tim Horton's was planning to open several locations in the Cleveland area. Well, that never happened. There is one in Akron, but nothing else in NE Ohio. There are quite a few in Columbus, Dayton and Toledo. https://www.cleveland.com/entertainment/2019/02/whatever-happened-to-the-105-tim-hortons-coming-to-northeast-ohio.html
  22. Police museum in the CDP HQ.
  23. Billion dollar venues for millionaire athletes funded by John Q Public.
  24. Hopefully this will get the ball rolling on more development in the vicinity.
