Cleveland: Nautica Development
Did some Googling and it looks like the original plan was announced in May 2016. That was the plan with the moat around one of the buildings.

And how many years ago was that project proposed?

Right. Those parking craters are as large as what was previously in the Warehouse District prior to SHW development.

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
Some random thoughts ... If the plan is to build a structure over the stadium to enclose it, that will make it larger and will likely look quite hideous. Maybe just do a simpler, narrower land bridge initially which can be widened later if necessary. The beach seems unnecessary since there is already a beach nearby at Edgewater. There is a beach even closer at Wendy Park, although I don't think it is being well maintained currently. The water quality at the harbor is going to be quite nasty. An amphitheater is a good idea, but I'd rather see something classier than what is shown in the rendering. It's nice to know someone else remembers the Donald Gray Gardens. I believe a lot of migratory birds used to stop there. Perhaps this is an opportunity to create version 2.0. As I mentioned previously, I think the Mather should be relocated. At over 600 feet, it is taking up too much space. I always hoped to see an aquarium on the lakefront, something larger and nicer than the current one. Maybe that can be added to the mix while we are dreaming. And the million dollar question, or should I say the billion dollar question: where is the money coming from to do this?

Cleveland: Random Development and News
At a previous employer, on almost every Friday afternoon, they had a "happy hour" event with beer, wine, snacks, etc. A few time a year they would do a catered lunch for all employees. There were several other fun events throughout the year such as a chili cook-off and a Halloween costume contest. And they had Starbucks coffee in the break room.

Thanks. Can you climb up to the top of the jackknife bridge and get shot from up there? Just kidding.

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
The Haslam and Gilbert/Bedrock plans seemed to be very similar - offices, hotels, residential - and unlikely that both would be able to go forward as planned. Perhaps the Bibb admin realized that. And maybe the FAA voiced their concern about high-rise towers encroaching on Burke, even though not directly in the flight path.

Cleveland Clinic always seems to be in need of office space.

I suppose it depends on the role of the employee. I'm in IT and a few years ago while working elsewhere, a co-worker moved to Nevada but continued to work remotely from home. I gotta say it was a pain in the butt collaborating with him on projects that way.

Of all the lakefront plans that have been unveiled over the years, has there ever been one without the stadium? It would be nice to see so we can compare and contrast.

I believe that already happened about 30 years ago.

As I mentioned a while back, a lot of WFHers are getting tired of it and would like to return to the office. Or else their spouses would like them to return to the office. 😊

Put an ice rink there. Problem solved.

They definitely need to move the Mather. It is taking up way too much space and is obstructing lake views. Perhaps a more suitable place for it would be somewhere in the Flats. It would just require cutting a 600' channel off the river so it doesn't interfere with navigation.

Cleveland: Downtown: Justice Center Complex Replacement
Site 2 is probably the best option IMO. Site 1 is probably the next best option, but it would require waiting until a new jail is built. As for site 3, I would prefer seeing low-rise retail and residential buildings built there as envisioned by the Weston plan of a few years ago. Site 4 is questionable - it seems like we would need to know what the plans are for the shoreway before developing anything there. Sites 5, 6 and 7 are too far from CBD. Also, site 5 would require waiting until a new CSU arena is built.
