Cleveland: Downtown: Playhouse Square Development and News
It was nice of Mimi to make a very generous donation, but was it really necessary to add the name to the theater?

Cleveland: Downtown: Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Expansion
I have also been wondering about that. It looks rather massive and does not seem to blend in with the rest of the structure.

I would hope that vehicles not going into Cleveland are already doing that.

Weather
I hope all the people I know who moved to Arizona are enjoying the heat. https://www.cleveland.com/nation/2023/07/12-straight-days-over-110-and-counting-extreme-heat-in-phoenix-southwest-us-dangerous-unrelenting-spreading.html

And hopefully something to prevent sheets of ice from sliding down onto the yellow house in winter.

Wow. It's starting to look like a big city.

Yeah, when do they get started on City Club II?

Cleveland: Downtown: Justice Center Complex Replacement
This is why I feel the jail should be built in Cleveland. Let's be honest, there will never be any upscale developments built at either of the Cleveland sites being considered. Whereas the Garfield site is clean land and has the potential for something nicer than a jail.

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
A shame that the Big 3 (soon to be Big 4) are not prominent from the ballpark, specifically from the home plate camera. The only tallish building visible from that vantage point is the 9 which isn't very attractive IMO. Maybe that will change if those parking lots at 9th and Bolivar get developed someday.

Cleveland: Downtown: Gateway District: Development and News
Will this site be a part of ballpark Village? And what is the status of that idea? We have not heard anything about it in quite a while.

Cleveland: Downtown: Justice Center Complex Replacement
Well, maybe belongs was a poor choice of words. I meant I would rather it be in Cleveland. Transport Rd site would be my choice. Yeah, I know the site needs to be cleaned up, but it will need to be cleaned up eventually, or do we just let it remain undeveloped forever? And there is already a correctional facility in the area (Northeast Reintegration Center). And it is closest to the justice center. And Cleveland is the county seat. And I hate seeing jobs leaving Cleveland for the suburbs.

Cleveland: Downtown: Justice Center Complex Replacement
Just clean up the site and put it in Cleveland where it belongs. Those sites will have to be cleaned up eventually. Let's do it now.

Northeast Ohio: Regionalism News & Discussion
The only one I can think of is Figgie International who moved to NEO from Richmond VA. Of course they were originally in NEO before moving to Richmond, so they probably don't count. They did have a couple small operations here when they returned, but I believe most of the others were elsewhere.

Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
Who carries $10K in cash with them? Were their doors unlocked? Why didn't the driver hit the gas when the suspects approached the Mercedes? Something sounds fishy. https://www.cleveland19.com/2023/07/06/man-woman-robbed-gunpoint-outside-ritz-carlton-cleveland/

Perhaps someone creative on this site can put together a rendering with an addition in the same style.

It would have been taller and skinnier on the Jacob's lot to get the same square footage, correct?

Companies Expanding Operations to NE Ohio
Years ago, I remember hearing that Cleveland was well positioned to be a data center hub with the vacant department store buildings in downtown Cleveland being perfect for large data centers. But for some reason that never happened. I wonder why?

They also had some concerts scheduled at Tower City a while back. Are those still happening?

Northeast Ohio: Regionalism News & Discussion
They grudgingly reduced the size of Cleveland city council, but that's probably it. I'd also like to know how many city employees are "double dipping".
