And I hope Mobley is pumping iron this summer. He needs to add some muscle.
  2. Maybe that idea to straighten the river and fill in the crooked section wasn't so crazy. It would have eliminated some of the bridges.
  3. Well, first place was nice while it lasted.
  4. Unless Rocket's move to Landmark is just temporary. Perhaps it won't be possible to have a new building ready before their lease is up at Higbee.
  5. They are trying to attract the younger folks who want to wander around, meet their buddies, take selfies, eat/drink, etc.
  6. Link above not working. Any word on how many new jobs will be added and where?
  7. Right. They couldn't even get a deal done with East Cleveland which should have been the easiest one.
  8. I agree. And also put the rail tracks in the tunnel so the lift bridge could also be removed. And depending on how far east the tunnel goes, maybe it eliminates the need for a land bridge to the harbor.
  9. Well, Municipal Stadium lasted quite a while at that location.
  10. I share the concern about spending $1B on renovations only to be told 10-15 years later that a new stadium is needed.
  11. Tito hospitalized in KC. No details yet. Hopefully nothing serious. One has to wonder how much longer he will remain at Guardians manager.
  12. Yes, it was, but a few anti-rail folks killed it. A shame the voter-approved subway was never built in the 50s when Cleveland was still a "big" city.
  13. The lettering style on top looks a little tacky. Perhaps it can be replaced with something a little classier.
  14. 2 dead. It was a murder-suicide.
  15. How about running a streetcar on the old track space? I suppose it would only be able to go from one end of the bridge to the other, but it might be a unique touristy thing. And if they want to get adventurous, perhaps a streetcar/trolley/rail museum could be added. I believe several from the old Trolleyville USA are currently being stored near Chippewa Lake. Maybe a few of them could be obtained.
  16. How is the parking garage looking?
  17. We'll be awaiting a bomb drop.
  18. Yeah, this is a bummer. That huge parking crater will be getting bigger and could remain for quite a while as Bedrock will be steering new development opportunities to their riverfront project. Euclid Ave has been nicely transformed. I would like to see the same with Prospect and Huron, but apparently it won't be happening anytime soon.
  19. "Olde Cedar, also called Cedar Estates..." and apparently also called Fort Cleveland.
  20. The old Corlett/Cleveland Cadillac Building, not to be confused with Central Cadillac on Carnegie. http://clevelandhistorical.org/index.php/files/show/10019
  21. Welp, the Browns made it onto Jeopardy tonight. In the category Finished Last, the question was: which NFL team was the latest to finish the season with 0 wins.
  22. Possible, but not likely they would consider going to the suburbs.
  23. Agreed. The renderings looked rather cartoonish. Can't wait to see the rest of them.
  24. So this is a locally-owned business, which I believe is the case for all the others that Bedrock has brought in to Tower City.
