  1. I am also not a fan of the Mather being docked at the harbor. At 600+ feet, it is taking up way too much space. And apparently it is only open for tours on the weekend. A more suitable location for it would be somewhere in the Flats, in a channel off of the river. Then, the Cod could be moved to the Mather's location in the harbor.
  2. The harbor bridge looks rather silly from bird's eye view.

  4. Kevin Love and Heat take 2-0 lead over the Celtics. Might we see Love and Heat vs LeBron and Lakers in the NBA Finals?
  5. Gate C-8 at least through the summer.

  7. I'll settle for a dozen. Now that the transformation of Euclid is nearly completed, the next focus should be on the Prospect/Huron/Bolivar triangle between Ontario and E 14th. I have not heard much about Ballpark Village, but I assume that will still be happening.
  8. Cam Gallagher got a hit AND an RBI today. Holy cow!
  9. The FTA had nothing to do with Public Square redo. They wanted a refund of the federal grant for Healthline. The reason being was the extra time required for Healthline busses to go around the square. Frank should have kept the square closed and let the FTA sue to try to get their refund. FTA likely would have backed off.
  10. Aer Lingus Cleveland-Dublin nonstop service starts on Friday. Mayor Bibb and entourage will be on board, I assume in first-class, for a "business development trip". Taxpayers will be picking up the tab. I wonder if the mayor of Dublin and his entourage will be on the Cleveland bound flight? https://www.cleveland.com/travel/2023/05/aer-lingus-launches-nonstop-cleveland-to-dublin-service-friday-with-early-summer-flights-nearly-sold-out.html
  11. Aren't household sizes changing everywhere?
  12. I find it mind boggling that Cleveland is still shrinking despite all the new residential units that have been added over the last couple decades. How much longer before we actually see growth? We have been hearing about it for at least 30 years, but it hasn't happened. And what about all the NY and other out-of-state license plates that were being spotting here during the pandemic - did they all go back to their home states?
  13. I doubt it. IKEA prefers clean, virgin land.
  14. I have a feeling there is more to it than availability of shovel-ready land.
  15. Cuyahoga County agrees to demolish Juvenile Court Building (paywalled) https://www.cleveland.com/news/2023/05/cuyahoga-county-agrees-to-demolish-juvenile-court-building-enabling-innerbelt-cap-designed-to-heal-a-racial-scar.html
  16. Seems like it would make sense for Greyhound to use it.
  17. Bring up Bo. Bring up somebody. Anybody.
  18. Here are a couple images I found on the internet.
  19. That's what I was thinking. But if so, why the secrecy?
  20. I assume the site is not suitable for any residential development.
  21. Belkin and WMMS were a great one-two punch back then.
  22. Well, at least we're getting Barry Manilow.
  23. The World Series of Rock drew some large crowds to the old stadium back in the 70s. But those days are gone. The only possibility for a huge draw now would be for a really big act like the Rolling Stones, Elton John, et al.
  24. Guardians explode for 6 runs in the 8th to stun the Angels 8-6. Holy cow!
