  1. Losing another Fortune 500 HQ definitely sucks. Especially losing it to Pittsburgh. Cleveland will fall behind Columbus and Cincy in the Fortune 500 HQ category, if it hasn't already.
  2. Haslam selling the team would solve some problems.
  3. But quite often, those companies tend to get acquired by a F500 from elsewhere and their future in the region becomes uncertain.
  4. Parma’s Hot Dog Diner & Burger Co. to close, relocate. https://www.cleveland.com/entertainment/2025/02/parmas-hot-dog-diner-burger-co-to-close-relocate-after-25-years.html
  5. Excuse my ignorance, but what happened to IBM Explorys?
  6. I'm gonna have to try eating at Charlie's sometime.
  7. I kind of wish they could have found another location for Jacobs Pavilion instead of wedging it in next to the powerhouse.
  8. Just heard on radio of a fire on W 3rd. Anyone have any more info?
  9. There are several other parcels along that stretch of 9th St begging to be developed.
  10. But that includes the huge award for Centennial which has not yet been fulfilled. Maybe that's why they have not been so generous with Cleveland of late.
  11. Can't read the article. With Charge move to Public Hall, are the Vikings now playing games on the same dates as the Charge? Could that be affecting attendance?

Missing Okoro, LeVert and now Wade. Hopefully they won't be riddled with injuries for the rest of the season.
  13. OK, but what difference would that make? Just a few years ago, Moen was considering a new building because they had outgrown their current building in North Olmsted. Obviously that sounded like good news for them and the region. But now, they announce they are leaving.
  14. Aldi has added quite a few new locations recently.
  15. I'd like to see Heinen's add a few more locations in the Cleveland area.
  16. These bird flu outbreaks seems to be happening quite often. And every day there seems to be some product being recalled. What in the wide wide world of sports is going on here?
  17. SHW doesn't even have enough space in the new HQ for its Cleveland employees. Where would the Valspar employees go?
  18. And whatever happened to the London Stock Exchange that was supposed to set up a North American office in Cleveland? I don't think that ever happened.

I miss hearing the Sohio radio commercials with the weird sound effect - "No fuel line freeze-up or Sohio pays your tow". I wonder if Sohio ever did pay for anyone's tow?
  20. But then once they grow, they often get gobbled up by a big, out-of-town interest.
  21. And Pittsburgh and Columbus have IKEA.
  22. Super Bowls (plural)? That's funny.
  23. A while back, it was reported that Amtrak was planning to add more trains through Cleveland. Is that still going to happen?
  24. The Mather definitely needs to be moved. At 618 feet, It takes up way too much space at its current location. Perhaps a better location would be somewhere in the Flats. Of course it would have to be in a subchannel which doesn't interfere with river navigation.
  25. Maybe they will be announcing plans for SHW 2 at the event. 😉
