Cleveland: Hotel Development
If they do build it, I'd rather see it closer to the CBD rather than in midtown.

Apparently Dream hotel was just a pipe dream.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
Cavs fading down the stretch again, just as they did last season.

I was wondering about that. The parking lot behind Artcraft is part of the new police HQ property.

Cleveland: Historic Photos
Well that was rather depressing. My grandfather bought several chandeliers from the St. Regis Hotel when it closed and installed them in his home. After he died, they were removed and distributed to each of his children. The chandelier that my mom obtained was installed in the living room of my childhood home where it remained until a few years ago when the home was sold. It is now in my brother's dining room.

Cleveland: Downtown Parks & Public Spaces - Development/Construction
^ Good point. Lakeview Cemetery receives a lot of visitors due to the James A. Garfield Memorial as well as other noteworthy individuals who are buried there. Perhaps Erie St Cemetery can arrange for some kind of group or self-guided tours if they don't already exist.

The old New York Spaghetti House is still in that image. They could have airbrushed it out.

Also, Landmark building will soon be vacated by SHW. I assume all or part of it will be a candidate for conversion to residential.

The Monsters are playing there on March 4th. It's nice to see other events at FES besides Browns football.

Cleveland: Random Visualizations & Massings
Unless they have someone lined up to fill those 500 foot buildings, it's just speculation. And I assume the nuCLEus site will be developed first. I'd really like to see a 500+ foot building there.

Almost as tall as Rockefeller.

Jack Entertainment is operated by one of Gilbert's buddies who was formerly with Bedrock. Maybe Gilbert/Bedrock can acquire Jack Entertainment. Problem solved.

Maybe they can punch out a few openings in that side wall and put in a few Chicago windows.

I thought only half of the apartments were going to be "affordable".

And let's not forget about the shoreway. If the decision is made to close it, that means more traffic will be flowing through downtown streets.

Agreed. We need to push cars away from Public Square. Hopefully, at some point in the future, Public Square can be unified. So it would be wise to keep Huron available to handle traffic.- Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
Yes, it would be nice to finally see that space filled. It's been an embarrassing eyesore for almost 100 years. We had that in the Flats in the 80s. That was the plan for Flats East Bank. I'm not sure it's turning out that way. - Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
