  1. Agreed. It's too cluttered. And who is going to fill all those buildings? I don't see much demand for office space in the foreseeable future, except for Rocket Mortgage, and possibly Cliffs. New residential seems unlikely as well with so much vacant office space being converted. A new casino would be nice. I hate having JACK in the historic Higbee building. How about adding an amphitheater? It might be a nice way to take advantage of the sloping terrain. It could be sort of a mini-version of Blossom and a classier version of Jacobs Pavilion.
  2. That stadium in Glendale AZ looks nice. The next stadium in Cleveland should look like that.
  3. These photos look so much nicer on a sunny day with blue skies.
  4. So maybe chances of Amtrak returning to Tower City are a little better now.
  5. That should not prevent planning for the development of those parcels so construction can begin once SHW is completed.
  6. The friend will soon be taller.
  7. Nice lighting on 668. Christmas colors?
  8. That is unfortunate, however, being hemmed in on all sides, that space can be better utilized for landside operations. Since CLE is no longer a hub, is an on-property hotel needed? There are several hotels in the vicinity. I'm sure they all provide shuttles to/from CLE.

  10. Isn't tax money/subsidy involved with every project here nowadays? I don't think anyone is opposed to affordable housing downtown, it just seems odd having it in the heart of downtown. But with such a large, vacant building, I suppose they need to be creative.

He sure has a lot of miles on him. Starting in NBA right out of high school and going deep into the playoffs almost every year.
  12. I just thought I'd give this a bump since it's been almost 2 years since the last post. I assume nothing has happened since then.

The IX Center seemed like an odd location. Wolstein Center would probably be a better venue than Public Hall, although I see the Cleveland Charge is scheduled to play there in the evening on March 18th.
  15. I seem to recall a proposal to construct a building at the E 9th St end and just keep the middle section between the new building and Erieview Tower. Does anyone remember that or was I dreaming?
  16. The front of the rock hall is iconic. Let's not ruin it with an ugly addition.
  17. Being efficient with tax dollars? Wow, what a great idea!
  18. Isn't there a YMCA occupying most of the space in Galleria now?
  19. Yes, it was. I loved going to the street festivals on Fleet every summer in August. It was a polish version of "The Feast" in Little Italy.

Changing planes at airport - is that considered stopping or passing through?

  23. Before my time, but my mom remembers it. She was working at White Motors at the time and felt the heat from the explosion. Her cousin's husband, who was employed by EOG, died in the blast. His body was never recovered.
