  1. Pepperidge Farm remembers. East 9th & Euclid was a financial hub at one time with Cleveland Trust (aka AmeriTrust), National City Bank, Union Commerce, Central National Bank and a few others.
  2. Wow, an office building that still has office tenants!

Was your spouse referring to Kevin Love? https://www.cleveland.com/entertainment/2022/11/cleveland-cavaliers-kevin-love-rated-sexiest-player-in-the-nba.html
  4. When completed. the top of City Club should also be appearing from that vantage point.
  5. Interesting. It would be nice to see something built there in my lifetime. If so, I hope it is a design that blends with the existing buildings.
  6. Is anyone aware of any renderings of what this parcel was supposed to look like? I've searched the internet, but couldn't find anything.
  7. Looks good! Hopefully a tower on the nuCLEus site will be next.
  8. Local initiative aims to make properties around Opportunity Corridor 'shovel ready' for future development. https://www.news5cleveland.com/news/local-news/cleveland-metro/local-initiative-aims-to-make-properties-around-opportunity-corridor-shovel-ready-for-future-development
  9. Survey of 10 cities shows office occupancy reached highest point since pandemic began. https://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/3840272-survey-of-10-cities-shows-office-occupancy-reached-highest-point-since-pandemic-began/?utm_campaign=TheHill-trending-stories&utm_source=fox8.com&utm_medium=thehill-cross-brand
  10. This seems to be a daily occurrence.
  11. ^ Or Opportunity Corridor. A spot just opened up at E 75th.
  12. We'll have to see how long that lasts. Frontier tends to discontinue service rather quickly if they don't get the passenger numbers they expect within the first few months.
  13. Sad news: https://www.cleveland.com/guardians/2023/01/john-adams-cleveland-guardians-drummer-dead-at-71.html
  14. We here in Cleveland feel your pain. Yesterday's game reminded me of "The Drive" with John Elway scrambling on a bad foot late in the game and leading the Broncos to a win. That game still bugs me.
  15. Apparently, a car museum. "The Centennial will house 864 affordable housing units with boutique hotel suites on several floors" That seems like an odd combination.
  16. Yes, I realize that. At my previous place of employment, a co-worker moved to Nevada and was allowed to continue working with the company remotely. I gotta say it was a bit of a pain collaborating with him on projects that way.
  17. Companies allowed Remote working in response to Covid. It wasn't supposed to be permanent.
  18. SHW will fill the gap in the skyline nicely from that vantage point.
  19. I'm not sure what the answer is for reviving Tower City. There is an adjacent casino, but apparently the patrons don't bother to venture outside of it for dining, shopping or entertainment. The riverside development is still many years away from happening, so for the foreseeable future it looks like it will be status quo for Tower City.
  20. If Forest City could do Tower City all over again, they wouldn't.
  21. Safety/security could be one of the reasons. Do malls elsewhere in the world have packs of rowdy teens loitering?

Love washed up? He looked pretty good last year. Maybe that thumb is still bothering him.
  23. But there are still a lot more elsewhere - 4th & Prospect, 8th & Prospect, 9th & Bolivar, as well as the area surrounding SHW.
  24. The original Hofbrauhaus is gone. Sokolowski's is gone. Many establishments in Slavic Village are gone. And now Sterle's. Very sad. Well, at least they opened a new Hofbrauhaus downtown (which I have not been to yet).
  25. I see the old Sheraton hotel is still standing. Hopefully it will be coming down soon.
