  1. I assume retailers in a mall also have to pay costs associated with upkeep and security of the common areas.
  2. Well, not quite back to pre-pandemic levels, but getting close. https://www.cleveland.com/travel/2023/01/cleveland-hopkins-airport-welcomed-87-million-passengers-in-2022-still-down-from-pre-pandemic-years.html

I think Buffalo should reconsider that new open-air stadium.
  4. Article by @KJP on Jan 17 said three pancakes, but maybe that was a typo.

Also, the Warriors had played in Boston the night before in a game that went to OT. The loss was inexcusable. This Cavs team seems to be lacking endurance and intestinal fortitude. They faded in the second half of the season last year. We were told it was due to injuries and inexperience. But it seems to be happening again this year.
  6. I don't think SHW wants anything blocking their view to the east, that's likely why they are putting a short shack in the Jacob's lot.
  7. I assume the cost of moving to the old PD building would have been much less.
  8. Agreed. It looks too suburban.
  9. I don't see San Diego or Baltimore on the list.
  10. Dang, we need a Ferris wheel.
  11. True, yet other northern cities with similar weather have nicer waterfronts than Cleveland.
  12. They need to put up some world class signage so everyone knows what it is.
  13. Or maybe a harmonica hotel.
  14. I grew up in Garfield Hts. i-480 cut through the center and divided it in half. The same thing happened in many other suburbs. But we are digressing. Let's get back on topic.
  15. Highways also run through suburbs.
  16. Might as well remove the Main Ave bridge too. It isn't going to last much longer.
  17. Not sure about funneling more vehicles onto i-271 and I-480. They are traffic nightmares already.
  18. Yeah, the West Bank had a great vibe back then with all the establishments in the Powerhouse as well as Cantina del Rio and Spaghetti Warehouse nearby.
  19. So the pavilion is 3 stories? Did they decide to add another floor?
  20. Nope. https://www.cleveland.com/business/2023/01/tower-city-announces-4-news-businesses-for-the-downtown-mall.html
  21. I canceled my subscription to the Sunday PD several years ago. The volume had been significantly reduced, the quality of journaliism had declined and the content seemed to be more opinion than news. Newspapers will likely be obsolete in another 10 years or so.
  22. Unlikely. FAA wouldn't allow it. And I don't think the Rock Hall would want to have Hard Rock as a neighbor. But I'd like to see the Hard Rock Cafe reopened and JACK Casino rebranded as a Hard Rock.
  23. I thought I heard ticket prices at the box office go up on the day of game, kind of a penalty for fans not purchasing tickets in advance. Getting back to the renovation, I was wondering about new building on E 9th. Is that going to be where the hotel was proposed many years ago?
  24. Restaurants come and go all the time. Even in the suburbs.
  25. Plus additional charge for service/convenience fee.
