  1. I was in Frankenmuth Michigan last month. I noticed they had hoses connected to all the flower beds and hanging baskets on the main street so they can get watered automatically. Although it's probably not feasible to do that in a large urban city.
  2. I assume they will not want any high-rise structures that might obstruct the views from their fortress. But that's fine. Buildings of comparable height to the existing Warehouse District buildings would be my preference.
  3. Post-season baseball in Cleveland. You gotta love it.
  4. Incentive to lure Aer Lingus to CLE is actually closer to $12 million over three years. https://www.cleveland.com/entertainment/2022/10/financial-incentive-to-lure-aer-lingus-to-cleveland-hopkins-is-actually-closer-to-12-million-over-three-years.html
  5. It's five o'clock somewhere.
  6. And service is only 4x per week.
  7. It would be nice to see something done with the lower deck of the Detroit Superior bridge. I know they used to open it up to the public once a year, although I'm not sure if they still do. Perhaps a trolley museum with a running trolley for visitors to ride.
  8. So if Howard Hanna gifts a large amount of money to the Hanna Theater...
  9. How long has the Ohio Theater been the Mimi Ohio Theater? And who is Mimi?
  10. It doesn't quite look like the rendering.
  11. Good news for Palace and Allen - they need new marquees. I thought the others were OK. I just hope they don't look too cartoonish.

I skied there 40 years ago. Nice place. I need to go back again someday.
  13. Cleveland subsidized both WOW and Icelandair. I assume the subsidies were terminated when the service was canceled. I suppose Cleveland could have tried to re-initiate service to Reykjavík with Icelandair via another subsidy, but decided to pursue Aer Lingus to Dublin instead.
  14. For one thing, the Continental flights to London and Paris were seasonal. I believe the global recession contributed to their demise. And the subsequent merger with United ensured they would never resume. As for the Reykjavík flights, WOW had financial woes and ceased operations and Iceland discontinued several routes, including CLE when the 737 Max was grounded.

  16. Maybe they can add a 200 ft. flag pole. 😀
  17. I have not heard anything about this. I assume it has not happened yet.
  18. It won't happen until the new B concourse is completed, which is part of phase 1 of the master plan. Let's hope the FAA stops dragging their feet so it can get started soon.
  19. CLE master plan moves forward as they await FAA green light. https://www.news5cleveland.com/news/local-news/cleveland-metro/cleveland-hopkins-2-billion-20-year-master-plan-moves-forward-as-they-await-faa-green-light
  20. ^ And it's hard to fathom it existed for as long as it did.
  21. Photo op from press conference at CLE
  22. It looks like flight time will be a little more than 7 hours.
  23. I wish it was more than 4 days per week. But something is better than nothing. I suppose this will be good for Eaton, and maybe Steris.
  24. ^ Makes me wonder if we really needed DeShaun.
  25. I guess I am being a bit pedantic, but the ordinance probably should have used the term non-stop instead of direct flight. There is a difference. https://www.ifly.com/flying-info-and-tips/direct-vs-non-stop-flights
