  1. It would be nice to see a lakefront plan with the Burke property repurposed for recreational/entertainment attractions. Perhaps it might sway those who want Burke to remain an airport.
  2. No. Gray will be constructing a new building between Topgolf and Embassy Suites. iHeart was in a building on Oak Tree Blvd, on the other side of I-77.
  3. I am in the wrong profession. I should have been in a consulting firm.
  4. That is a real head scratcher. They moved downtown from the suburbs so they could be closer to the action. Perhaps Independence made them a offer they couldn't refuse. Ironically, iHeart recently moved their stations from Independence to 668 Euclid.
  5. CLE ranks among nation’s worst airports of its size. https://www.cleveland.com/business/2022/09/cleveland-hopkins-ranks-among-nations-worst-airports-of-its-size-in-annual-jd-power-survey.html I really hope they can get started on phase 1 of the master plan a bit sooner than 2025.
  6. Parker Hannifin was in Cleveland prior to moving to suburbia.
  7. If the cost for new vs renovation is about the same, then new is definitely the way to go. It doesn't have to be as glitzy as San Diego. One less Brutalist structure in Cleveland would be OK with me. I was in San Diego about 5 years ago, and there must have been about a dozen cranes downtown. I realize Cleveland is no San Diego, but damn.
  8. I'm glad they are changing to a balanced schedule next season, although it has been an advantage for Cleveland to beat up on the Royals and Tigers over the last several years (and Twins this year).
  9. Same old Browns. They always fall apart late in the 4th quarter. They really should be 0-2 but they got lucky last week.
  10. ^ Or maybe they will be confronted by a panhandler.
  11. Metroparks is also taking over the old Parmadale property for expansion of West Creek Reservation.
  12. I would expect Cleveland and vicinity to add a large number Ukrainian immigrants by 2030.
  13. The primary purpose of a logo is to sell merchandise. The elf does seem kind of wimpy for a football team, but it's better than using a logo-less helmet as a logo. IMO, a brown bear would make a good logo for the Browns. That would sell merchandise AND scare the crap out of children. 😄
  14. Weston had a great vision for the Warehouse District. I'n not sure if they are still a possible candidate for SHW to start facilitating with in getting the remainder of the site developed.
  15. I assume the future development promise you mention is the phase 2 tower. I don't think they are planning to develop the remaining parcels along W 6th and St Clair.
  16. ^ Well, it's better than a helmet.
  17. I'd rather see the new Justice Center on the Bedrock site, closer to the new jail.
  18. DFA Bryan Shaw
  19. Sounds like a good name for a pet hotel. 😀

And it looks like the Warriors have reconstituted themselves, so it may be difficult for anyone to get past them for the next several years.
  21. Aaron Civale, Zach Plesac on injured list. https://www.wkyc.com/article/sports/mlb/cleveland-guardians/cleveland-guardians-aaron-civale-zach-plesac-injured-list/95-fe21590a-25f5-4117-af48-2fcb03ccad49
  22. Our long local nightmare is over.

Yeah, I liked him. I don't know much about Mitchell. Is he that good? Seems like the Cavs gave up a lot to get him.
  24. Correct. https://www.news-herald.com/2019/04/01/if-not-for-d*ck-jacobs-indians-might-not-call-cleveland-home-jeff-schudel/
  25. Hopefully "the shack" won't become a new embarrassment. 😉
