Cleveland Guardians Discussion
Wtf is with concerts at Progressive Field? Aren't there enough other concert venues in Cleveland?

Cleveland: Shoreway Boulevard Conversion
If a land bridge is built, does the shoreway need to become a walkable city street? There would still be the rail tracks to deal with. Perhaps just address the flyover and Main Avenue bridge and keep the remainder of the shoreway as is. Although I would also suggest eliminating the E 9th interchange and building a new one to the east, perhaps at E 18th. Then, Erieside and North Marginal could be relocated slightly south to open up space for Rock Hall expansion and other development. It might also allow for a more easily accessible Amtrak station to be built closer to E 9th.

Cleveland: Random Development and News
I have been around a long time and I don't recall seeing so much activity. There was a lot happening in the late 80s to mid 90s, but I believe most of the activity was downtown - Galleria, Tower City, Jacobs Field, Gund Arena, Key Center, Rock Hall, Science Center, Playhouse Square, etc. The only disappointing thing is that the city is still losing population despite all the new residential units that have been added downtown and throughout the city in the last 20+ years. I am hopeful that will change soon.

Cleveland: Shoreway Boulevard Conversion
I vote for the concept which relocates the section of the shoreway to the north along the rail tracks.

The Official *I Love Cleveland* Thread
There will probably be a snowstorm in Cleveland during that timeframe.

^ I was wondering about that also. Looks like it would be on Public Square.

Cleveland Guardians Discussion
Guardians are 9-9 vs. the Tigers this year. Why are they having such a hard time with them? I know they got hosed last night, but they still could have won.

Could the balcony of the Allen aka Upper Allen serve that purpose? I don't think it is currently being used very much, is it?

Watching the ballgame today and seeing some nice shots of their downtown skyline. I wonder how many 50+ story towers they have now? It must be at least 50. Toronto has become the NYC of Canada.

Cleveland: Opportunity Corridor Boulevard
I took OC to The Feast today. There are several dead pines on the south side and a few dead trees in the median, but I didn't see any trash.

East Cleveland: News & Discussion
What else does East Cleveland have in terms of large employers other than GE Lighting? If they end up leaving, then East Cleveland may as well turn off the lights (no pun intended).

Cleveland: Downtown Office Buildings Updates
Yes, they should have just made the main tower taller and eliminate the need for phase 2. Then they could have sold the other lot to either Cliffs for their new tower or to a hotel developer.

Aren't those races sort of an advertisement for Sugardale? If so, they probably don't want to promote another product.

Cleveland: Downtown: Skyline 776 (City Club Apartments)
A whimsical mural on the wall would help. As for the parapet, perhaps adding some decorative screening along the side to make it look a little less Potemkin.

Brecksville: Valor Acres Development
I believe one of SHW's requirements was the ability to expand the R&D facility in the future. That might have been a problem with any of the potential sites in Cleveland.
