Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
I ate there once a long time ago. It was nothing to write home about.

Cleveland: Shoreway Boulevard Conversion
If you have ever been to Williamsburg, the Colonial Parkway passes under the historic area through a tunnel. And there are lots of tunnels under Washington DC.

Cleveland: Shoreway Boulevard Conversion
I don't drive over that bridge very often, but when I do, I get very nervous.

Cleveland Guardians Discussion
Lethargic performance by Guardians vs Tigers probably due to jet lag from that 20 minute flight to Detroit.

Nice win. I was expecting a sweep. Good job by McKenzie. Let's hope Reyes is finally breaking out of his slump.

Cleveland: Downtown: Gateway District: Development and News
A tall tower at 4th & Prospect would be visible, although it might obstruct part or all of the Beacon.

Cleveland: North Coast Harbor Developments
All of this renaming seems rather silly. The Stokes brorhers weren't exactly model citizens. Do we need to remove their names from the various buildings and roads? But let's get back on topic.

Cleveland: North Coast Harbor Developments
I was looking at Baltimore's Inner Harbor on Google maps. They sure have a lot of stuff there - museums, restaurants, shops, hotels and such. And no land bridge. 😉 It is unfortunate that North Coast Harbor is right next to an airport runway which restricts potential development.

Cleveland: North Coast Harbor Developments
The Mexican restaurant is Nuevo. It would be nice to see a few more eateries, coffee shops, ice cream stands, etc. pop up along the harbor.

Rubio back with Cavs. https://www.cleveland19.com/2022/07/01/ricky-rubio-reportedly-returns-cleveland-cavaliers-multi-year-deal/?fbclid=IwAR3v7cCDGBhXhDUgAZjgpjmzDPhPl6tGC1g9H30oc1x5RGlMpK0eS9ax8hA

Cleveland: Downtown: The Beacon
Gazing at the downtown skyline from my seat at Progressive Field earlier this week, it seems like the Beacon could use some signage and/or lighting at the top of the building.

Cleveland Hopkins International Airport
Here is the full link: https://www.wkyc.com/article/news/local/cleveland/cleveland-hopkins-airport-jet-bridges-need-replacing/95-afffd5e9-82b4-4d42-a051-12e8516cef9f 2025/2026 was the original estimated timeframe for the start of construction for phase 1. I was hoping it would start sooner since passenger numbers are nearly back to pre-pandemic level. Phase 1 addresses issues that should have been addressed years ago.

Cleveland Guardians Discussion
I was one of the 12,000. I think the actual attendance was probably under 10,000. I must confess we (and many others) left after the Twins went up 6-3 in the top of the 10th. We got to the car, turned on the radio and heard Hammy going crazy.

Holy cow! The Guardiac Kids do it again!

Cleveland Guardians Discussion
They are struggling to score runs. They are averaging less than 2 runs a game since that 11 run game vs Twins last week. This weekend vs Yankees could be ugly.

Cleveland: Random Visualizations & Massings
And maybe a tall tower at 4th and Prospect will be added in the next few years.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
I'm hoping the contract will be voided. It was a horrible contract.

Cleveland: Random Photos
A lot of folks visiting Cleveland/Northern Ohio for the first time are surprised at how big the lake is.
-
Cleveland: Random Visualizations & Massings
Right. The TV networks like to use the skyline shot from Flats west bank which makes it look like there are only 3 tall buildings downtown.
-
Cleveland: Downtown: Gateway Megaproject
It is a bit discouraging that there is/was so much vacant commercial space downtown. But I assume that is the case in other cities also. Or is it?

Guardiac Kids. I like that.

Cleveland Guardians Discussion
A shame they reduced capacity at the ballpark. The weekend games coming up vs Red Sox and Yankees could have drawn 40K+.

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
^ What's the point of moving the stadium a short distance away? It's nice that it would connect to the convention center, but it would still be basically on the lakefront.

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
How about this idea which was actually proposed many years ago. Cut out a channel to straighten the Cuyahoga River, fill in the unused section of the river behind Tower City, then build the stadium on the filled-in section. Is it possible?
