Cleveland Browns Discussion
A big NO to Kaepernick. He gave the NFL the finger in Atlanta a couple years ago.

No, but I did contact one recently via Facebook.

Daylight Saving Time
Is it really that big of a deal to change the clocks twice a year? Good grief.

The same sleaze that brought us Johnny Football.

Cleveland: Rock and Roll Hall of Fame News & Discussion
Were you expecting a well-written article on Cleveland.com? One problem with the rock hall is their obsession with inducting a dozen or so artists every year. That may have been fine in the early years, but it is not necessary now. I assume the reason for inducting such a large number is so the induction ceremony is not just a couple of pot-bellied, gray-haired artists, but rather a huge event with the video airing on HBO and various other platforms.

Cleveland: Rock and Roll Hall of Fame News & Discussion
Agreed. They used to say Rock and Roll will never die, but it looks like it has died. Maybe Pop Music Hall of Fame would be more appropriate.

I hated the proposed expansion. Hopefully they went back to the drawing board.

Cleveland: Flats Developments (Non-Stonebridge or FEB)
In the late 70s, I used to go to a club called Jicky's in the triangular building on the end. That part of the Flats was a bit frightening back then.

Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
^ You can probably thank Norm Krumholz for that. He hated rail and opposed every rail proposal in Cleveland. He seemed to wield a lot of power even in his later years when he was no longer working for the city.

I would like to see the square unified someday. Hopefully I will live long enough.

Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
Not sure what part of town you are on. Most bars have pretty good fish fries. And lots of churches are doing them during Lent, although some may be carry-out only. Cleveland.com has an article listing fish fries in the area, and it is not a subscriber exclusive.

I think you mean the Superior Building, not the Federal Building.

Cleveland: Downtown: Skyline 776 (City Club Apartments)
It looks like there were windows in the east side of 668 at one time that have been bricked over. How/why would there be windows on that side if it butted up against the Hippodrome building?

Akron Agora - was that also known as the Big Apple?

Cleveland: Local Media News & Discussion
Apparently, cleveland.com is no longer displaying email addresses for their columnists. A few times recently, I wanted to contact one of them to report an error in an article, but was unable to do so.

The top of City Club will look better than this. Maybe they can do something with that side eventually.

Yes, I remember Ms Crimm from the noon news on WEWS with the late Joel Rose. I believe she was also part of the Morning Exchange team during that time frame. She would have to be in her late 70s now.
