  1. Is Benesch still a possibility for the site or has that ship sailed?
  2. No, but you can build new buildings that blend in with older buildings. I guess I'm not a big fan of mixing old and new. When I was in Zurich, it was a tale of two cities. One side of the river had shiny new buildings while the other side of the river had narrow cobblestone streets and buildings that were probably a few hundred years old. It was nice that they preserved the "old city". But I am digressing. Sorry.
  3. Most of the carjackings seem to be done by young teens that aren't even old enough to drive. Maybe it is some kind of gang initiation ritual.
  4. Other than the height, I was not very fond of the original design. Seems like it would have looked out of place amongst all the old buildings currently in the area.

Cavs were playing well, but let's be realistic, they are still a couple years away from being a legitimate contender. Let's be patient.
  7. Just a little sarcasm. Seems like there are more pressing problems in Cleveland and in our country right now.
  8. I'm sure this will solve all the problems in Cleveland. https://www.cleveland.com/news/2021/12/seven-cleveland-schools-some-named-for-slaveholders-to-be-renamed.html
  9. This crap needs to stop! https://www.news5cleveland.com/news/local-news/14-year-old-arrested-for-little-italy-carjacking-shooting-that-injured-woman

Why do all of our pro teams have such bad luck? I don't get it.

Well that figures. Things were going too well for the Cavs.
  12. Free admission to Thursday night game. https://wtam.iheart.com/content/2021-12-29-csu-offering-free-admission-to-thursday-night-game/
  13. The hotel looked nice. The Harbor vision is interesting, although a bit cluttered with all those buildings east of E 9th.
  14. This site has some skyline posters. Maybe it was one of them. https://www.collectors.com/historical-item/cleveland-ohio-skyline-shaping-the-vision-1996-poster-print/-9149506017410470045
  15. That was also the location for the proposed Hexatron stadium.
  16. The top of that AmeriTrust tower was rather unsightly. I'm glad it was never built.
  17. Access from the east via I-480 can be problematic due to the bottleneck at the interchange with I-71. Traffic on I-480 westbound is backed up there almost every evening.
  18. Ah. That was a bit before my time. I only remember Higbee's, May Co., Halle's and Sterling Lindner (with that huge Christmas tree).
  19. I would also vote for May Co Bldg since it was prevously retail at one time.
  20. New kicker, same story. Good grief. They should just go for 2 points should they score again.
  21. ^ I remember some talk years ago about changing E 9th St back to Erie St, but it never happened, probably due to all the address changes that would have been required.
  22. How soon before we might start seeing some structural steel rising?
