Makes sense since they already own the property. However, there would be demolition costs. But they wouldn't be able to get started until a new jail is completed, and that is several years away.

Hopefully, this is the start of a building boom downtown. There are a few more parking lots I would like to see eliminated - 4th & Prospect, 8th & Prospect, 9th & Bolivar and the lots surrounding SHW, although I assume nothing will happen there until SHW construction is completed.
