Urban Neighborhoods within good distance of Twinsburg?
This may sound crazy, but if you got a house in the village portion of Hudson, you'd be within walking distance of pretty much anything you could ever want and about a 10-minute drive to Twinsburg. Just a thought!

Cleveland Civic Vision 2000
So, what did people just start drawing buildings and sticking them in the city? It's like a Cleveland/Sim City mash-up! Where's the Cleveland Space Needle and Cuyahoga Pyramid?

you plan on operating? it takes a tenant to make a trendy salon, the land lord can only suggest. Ain't you prickly! I was just coming up with an idea that would work with the pillars.

WTAM = EVIL
The problem with Triv is he forms his opinions without any information or research behind it. He's always talking about how long it takes to build roads in NEO compared to a place like Las Vegas. I don't do this work myself, but I assume there are some big differences in techniques. Now, I think the stuff Triv says is more significant as a reflection of who he views as his audience rather than him specifically - blue-collar/old-school -- probably wouldn't sing along with me to a Bright Eyes CD. At this point, we have a whole bunch of things happening at once -- deterioration, revolution, evolution, stagnation. I mean, Triv and guys like him aren't probably going on the Tremont Art Walk the same way I don't go to Put-In-Bay (or as my dad dubbed it when I wase little "Put-in-Pay" because everything cost money and it was boring). Cleveland is at a crossroads. It'd be nice if we could all remember we're on the same team, but I think it's going to be impossible.

Cleveland: Retail News
True. I'm surprised malls would do this. I mean if someone looks online, can't find what they want at that location, and doesn't go to the store, it seems that would take away from potential impulse buys or money spent buying something at the food court, basically hurting business. Well, I'm not sure if this is one of the factors, but online spending has grown, and if retailers locally are fighting an over-saturation of the suburban retail market, then maybe they're willing to go to new ends to try to get that extra dollar. I have to agree with MTS, though for the most part. I can't buy normal clothes online. I swear, the Gap has a million different sizes for one waist size. I end up in the fitting room for 45 minutes trying to find a single pair of jeans that fits my waist correctly. And even then I'm lucky if I can find a pair that fits and looks right. My style M.O. is to get a copy of Esquire and then go to a high-end store or two and then retreat back to the shops in my price range and match the style up. There are exceptions, though. For example, I bought a very nice famous brand name pocketsquare off ebay for $35. It was brand new with the tag. I saved probably $50. I had never seen one like it at the same price in a real store. I also saw this awesome Grand Central Station umbrella online and want it: http://www.imageexchange.com/mvx10/engine.cgi?cid=7DY8az3NGL7BKnw0mrQRk3GPyH&store=nytm&page=default&basecat=umbrellas&return=sku50&body=sku10&sku=23444. I also normally stay online when I'm buying cycling gear. I feel bad for the local merchants, but I am just a casual cyclist, so I buy the cheap $20 shorts bike shorts, etc. Better deals to be had online. So, I guess how I purchase things depends on how important it is to me and how unique it is.

Cleveland: Tremont: Development and News
Well, I wouldn't say seriously considering it because I don't have the resources at this point. It'd cost quite a bit of money to get all the equipment you'd need for that sort of operation. But maybe in the future... I haven't done any research on it yet.

Cleveland: Tremont: Development and News
This is off the current topic, but I would love to open up a small gourmet grocer in Tremont in one of the small storefronts that are vacant down there. Something along the lines of Dean and Deluca but obviously more local and one-of-a-kind.

Cleveland: Downtown: East 4th Street Developments
I understand all that and sure there is stuff that could be done, but lets also give him some credit for dealing with a 1.5 foot sidewalk and having the only open storefront on that whole side of the street.

I'm saying Euclid is a disaster in front of that Subway shop. Obviously car traffic isn't where he will get customers, but compound that with a sidwalk that is as wide as a remote path up the Andes, and you've got a business killer. Subway seems to operated by a regular guy who is real nice. I feel bad, but his lunch business is getting destroyed compared to a year ago.

Cleveland...If you had one wish-or $1 billion...
$1 billion? I'd purchase a number of growing tech start-ups and move them from California to Euclid Avenue!

Cleveland: Downtown: East 4th Street Developments
^^ It's shocking they are doing so well on a street that is basically unusable. I go to the Subway between E. 9th and Huron on Euclid, and that guys shop has a lot less foot-traffic. I hope it doesnt hurt him too bad.
