I totally disagree. By adding the living room to the kitchen it becomes space that's actually used. Living rooms tend to be one of the least used rooms in a home (at least it always has been for me) and the kitchen is sorta the hub of activity.

I love the living room/kitchen combo.

I'll be in Columbus this Saturday and am staying the night. I really don't know much about the place. I've got a couple o' questions for the experts. 1. What's the best neighborhood to hang out in? I know the Short North is cool and am always hearing about it but are there others that are just as good? 2. Know any good restaurants? I'm going with a few other people with varying tastes and budgets. I'm looking for something in the 12$–$35 range. Maybe something similar to this: http://www.228coco.com/?page_id=6 3. What about places to go out to later at night? What area has the highest concentration night spots. Is there any place that is so Columbus that I have to check out? 4. What about late night after-party joints to get an early breakfast? 5. I'd like to be able to park the car at the hotel and not use it for the rest of the night. Any nearby ones that would allow this, that wouldn't require walking all the way from downtown? Open to a b&b but not preferred. Thanks for the help! :-)

Yeah, you can get some great shots of UD/Brown St. from MVH. It looks especially good during fall...which isn't far off.

I'm 99.9% certain that's from Miami Valley Hospital. Here's a few more from that spot from istockphoto.com. And yes, it's even better at night.

Not sure if you guys are gonna get into this one or not but I like it. He's the little Urban Ohio guy! Ohio is known as being a friendly state and I'm usually pretty amazed by how friendly people are on here. Some other blogs/forums can get pretty caustic. The colors can be switched around but these are pretty current and hip. The readability is definitely there too. I've got some more coming but I thought I'd throw this fun one out. Don't be too hard on me!
