  1. I think the "finance office" come-ons aren't nearly as pushy with Carvana though as compared with B&M dealers. People like that.
  2. Maybe red states are better about banging out kids
  3. Some people's houses went up on the coasts so much that the choices are stay and be average or move and be rich.
  4. An enormous amount of Boomers retire(d) during the virus. This is why Millennials' and young Xers' underemployment issues are dissipating quickly.
  5. Earnings taxes are collected by employers whereas income taxes can come from other sources.
  6. You're using city-ranking articles which UO is very critical of because their methodologies are almost universally terrible.
  7. All of that sounds plausible including your "conspiracy theory". There was a time when Wirt Road was more important. Years before the 4-lane section of SR 317 opened, SR 665 continued from US 23 into Groveport on much of what is today SR 317. Starting from the north, 665 ran down Hamilton Road becoming College Street when it entered town. Then it hung a right onto Wirt Road which becomes Rohr Road out of town. Then it hung a left onto Pontious Road before going right onto Hayes Road through a now fenced-in part of Rickenbacker. It met present-day 317 at its big curve toward US 23. The current 317 from this area all the way to Bixby Road did not exist in any form.
  8. I wonder what happened that caused the spelling to get changed in the texts.
  9. Hey I saw a concession stand sign that looked too early-2000s at Nationwide Arena a couple years back and said to my buddies while pointing at it, "Just tear the whole thing down" If something's not hipster-lite these days it doesn't deserve to survive
  10. I suppose I'm Team Wirt since it's what I grew up with but jeez there's already the Wirt's Grove and Rarey's Port split and now it's getting split more? https://www.groveport.org/411/History
  11. The Wirt's Grove building started today with asphalt removal! And yes I spelled it "Wirt", there is some debate regarding the spelling. Such as Wirt Road two blocks over.

I forget where you live now. Are you in WV where kids can go to WVU or Marshall on the PROMISE scholarship if they graduate with a 3.0 from a WV high school?
  13. Probably trying to avoid ruffling feathers since there is almost nothing over 2-3 stories in the entire neighborhood. Also the land probably isn't very expensive. It's a colossal neighborhood that is almost all SFH.
  14. ^That's why the whole "the World Wildlife Fund made the World Wrestling Federation change their name" thing sounds totally made up by Vince. CBS Personnel Services and the Ford Modeling Agency would be totally out if so.
  15. They call themselves the "Flavor Savers"

I didn't know you could go on the other side of the table like that.
  17. Looks like a Chinese Finger Trap Since we probably shouldn't bring back the Santa Maria, Brushstrokes in Flight would be nice. And Snake Bridge.
  18. I bet the Valvoline slides right through unopposed. Is it under the Beechwold umbrella?
  19. A lot of Five Guys close. What they do was pretty edgy 15 years ago but is now common. Also the virus makes it where there's even more times nothing is going on at campuses.
  20. Come on, Buffalo and Green Bay are the last of the old small city teams. I'll make a rule -- if the Bills move the NFL has to bring Portsmouth back no matter how much money it loses a year. In the old stadium.
  21. I can't believe it was 2014; I thought it was like 2-3 years ago. Getting old!
  22. ^Here's some background. I don't know if the new Koch organization is as big on these "nothing nice for cities, only for suburbs" efforts as the old ones were, but how petty.
  23. Yes. They lost their minds over the proposal.
  24. Watch out, the Koch Buddies don't want anything like that there and they'll stomp it flat
