Columbus: Restaurant News & Info
GCrites replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Restaurants, Local Events, & EntertainmentOr fast food in general. When places started making the fish in their fish sandwiches smaller they added pickles. Same with some chicken sandwiches. So I just assume when they add pickles to something now they took something more important away.

So it's supposed to be To-LID-o right? I've got an episode of The Transformers that I've had on my computers since the LimeWire and Morpheus days where the announcer said "Up next on 24 Tol-LID-o, it's Heathcliff."

The anti-rail hitmen are still out there
Unfortunately he hasn't been debunked everywhere like he has on urban sites.

The Ohio State University Buckeyes Basketball Discussion
Do these guys that make death threats have any idea how spoiled and entitled it makes them look? Death threats over their politician losing. Death threats for finding out a woman worked on a video game. Death threats for losing a sportsball match.

2022 U.S. Senate Race
The whole "Strickland Democrat" thing is gone for a while due to Trumpism.

Ohio Intercity Rail (3C+D Line, etc)
That is part of it, along with far more people living in sprawl, plus their rural areas are actually rural and don't have houses every 500 feet like our "rural" areas do east of the Mississippi. But there are probably some regulations we have that they just don't -- yet. Or they're less arduous than ours.

We have a lot of regulations here regarding drainage they they might not have.

2022 U.S. Senate Race
I wouldn't be too worried about raising a ton of money. TV ads don't work anymore and internet ones don't either in these federal races. Worry more about non-practicing lawyers being paid to cook up rhetoric. That's cheaper though.

2022 U.S. Senate Race
But only people who WORK, as in people who put in a lot of overtime in the skilled trades or own businesses in the skilled trades. Everyone else doesn't WORK.

2022 U.S. Senate Race
Without Trump on the ballot I don't think the Harley Guys are going to show up for this rhetoric. A lot of Seniors don't like this stuff because it scares them more than they are scared of Muslims and MS-13. Of course they don't use twitter much.

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
Cincinnati suburbanites latch on to anything that goes on in the city and turn it into some huge boogeyman so something like the medium-scale 2001 riots is 9/11 to them.

Lose that for a ball field? You can put a ball field anywhere. Wouldn't surprise me though.

Lets say I shovel the walk. Then I go to work. Sun comes out, melts it some, then it gets cloudy again and the water refreezes into ice. Someone falls and dies. The neighbors didn't shovel their walks and they only had safe snow on them. All this happens while I'm at work. I would have had to stay home and monitor the condition of the walk all day because I tried to be "nice" by shoveling.

Columbus: Historic Preservation
I remember going in there as a kid and being terrified at how low the railing on the upper deck was. I guess a lot of stuff was built like that in the old days. Like how the railing at the Old Cincinnati Library was like 2 feet high.

Ohio Census / Population Trends & Lists
I remember an engineer friend wanting to borrow my quad to do engineering field work on for the four-lane 161 that was still in the design phase. I was already 27 years old.

Still a lot of open space between Columbus and Newark. If you're coming in on 70 you will drive through quite a bit of the Uncool Crescent until you get close to Downtown. That's like how people from Circleville have to drive through miles of Uncool Crescent to get to the better stuff.
