Cincinnati Mayoral Race 2021
Crap, I feel like Mallory would taken care of Undo Cranley quickly and advanced the city even more than he did last time around.

I've never had that before. It's getting to the point that the rest of their stuff has too much sodium for me so that might be a good substitute.

Greater Cleveland Taxation
People in Kentucky pay property taxes on their cars, RVs and motorcycles though so that may make their rates approach Ohio's.

Ha, I used to know that first commenter.

Groveport: Developments and News
Tougher to wait until they're leased during a pandemic to start construction but it's still a fair principle.

Greater Cleveland Taxation
And look at L.A. Everybody insists that California taxes are insane but Delaware County has them beat due to lack of money density. Hey newcomers move to Lewis Center (which isn't even a municipality but a Census Designated Place in an Ohio township that can't collect earnings taxes) since it's the Easy Button.

Greater Cleveland Taxation
Only the southern 1/3rd of Delaware County and some of Delaware City are affluent. Much of the rest is pretty standard semi-rural Ohio that still isn't worth much due to no jobs outside of farm/carryout/middle school/hospital/bar in the immediate area. So it does reflect elevated Central Ohio tax rates seen in Fairfield and Union Counties.

Greater Cleveland Taxation
The Cleveland metro doesn't even have "reciprocity" between towns for earnings taxes does it? I work in Lancaster but live in Groveport. Groveport's earnings tax rate is 2% while Lancaster's is 1.75%. Therefore I send 1.75% of my earnings to Lancaster and 0.25% to Groveport (2%-1.75%=0.25%). The city where you work has first dibs on the money leaving the one where you live with the rest. If the place where you work has a higher earnings tax than where you live, the place where you live gets nothing. If you live in Lancaster (1.75%) but work in Columbus (2.5%) Lancaster can pound sand. Same in the Cincinnati metro. But around Cleveland you have to pay both in full, correct?

Cincinnati: Northside: Development and News
There was talk when quarantine hit for people to leave their Xmas lights up and on all year to cheer people up but since it was March I don't think people felt like going out there and putting them back up so soon. Plus March weather is way worse than November. I've seen quite a few houses that left them up after Xmas this year. My neighbors across the street still have theirs on as we speak.

Tech bros pay no attention to them for sure. Walmart is nearly invisible in tech areas yet they dominate the entire rest of the country.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Development and News
I hope people think about that kind of stuff when they destroy things from the '70s and '80s too, not just things that are 80 or more years old at the time. It's more easy to see something that is intact from the '60s then it is to see anything made between 1970 and 2000 that hasn't been totally gutted.

GCrites replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionLancaster used to have a very similar "tax" of its own. It went away about 15 years ago when the bypass opened and the traffic lights got taken off of 33. Plus internet shopping of course. Some people perceive that it is still like that and are suspicious of local businesses, assuming that "they're trying to rip you off" or "taking advantage of people who can't drive".

Cashierless Stores / Amazon "Just Walk Out" Technology
I'm pretty sure Certified Oil stations use Kroger/Turkey Hill's credit card interface.

Cashierless Stores / Amazon "Just Walk Out" Technology
But Whole Foods doesn't actively reject them. And doesn't have to turn a profit since it's not just tech but FAANG. I expect FAANG to start staging old-timey locomotive collisions soon just like the train barons did. And the stocks will go up afterward since they "learned so much" from the events.

Stopping every two feet So we've gotten rid of low income individuals. Said no to old people. There will be few kids or teens in the store. Only people 23-65ish. Can something low-margin such as a grocery store reject that many customers?
