Median is too narrow. so are the breakdown lanes. Lucasville/Minford exit would probably need work; it looks like something from the AA Highway or Industrial Parkway in KY. Widening would mean redoing cuts.

I wonder which highway consultants and contractors are funding this seemingly grassroots organization.

The Portsmouth Bypass is nowhere near Interstate grade. That would have been another $400 million.
  4. I used to hang out there all the time as a kid. It was the closest arcade to home.
  5. That's how you make the Big 3 care -- with trucks.

I think KJP sniped him a time or two around town and posted the pix
  7. why not have it in the town that will probably have the #1 pick?

We've closed the Dayton Mall Super Game Team. 85% of the video game business is now downloads, DLC and free-to-play games which has made the industry tough for those who deal in physical copies. In addition, interest in retro gaming has dropped significantly since we opened in 2015. We are proud to have served the area and are very appreciative of the support we received from our customers and friends over the years. Come see us in Lancaster at River Valley Mall!
  9. I don't think that was as true in Columbus, or at least in the outer 'burbs it wasn't. Most families had two cars. NOBODY had trucks that didn't need them though. Stuff was a lot further apart in Columbus as compared to the other 2Cs and Appalachian Ohio just like today. Sure you didn't have to go to Polaris but you still had to go to Morse.
  10. A lot of these kids have grown up in areas where there is literally nothing to walk to. They have never walked anywhere ever. They don't know that walking 1/4 mile takes only 5 minutes. If you pulled a Jay Leno and asked them on the street (OK bad example) they'd say it takes an hour. Walking on actual campus doesn't count since it's a curated area and a different headspace.
  11. With Universal Couchlock and Amazon you almost can't re-activate a traditional business district if there are significant number of single-familys around.
  12. Hopefully that will keep people from being so trigger-happy about demo. At the same time though, move-in ready > empty lot > needs major reno now?

Yeah it's weird, lots of other things claim to be Wheeling's "mall" but aren't malls really.
  14. It will have a lot more "broads" on it when it is pedestrian friendly!
  15. I'm almost positive that signal prioritization was a part of the plan to be rolled out at the time the streetcar began running. Somewhere along the line (no pun intended) that got dropped. I wouldn't be surprised at all if it got dropped when Cranley went into office or during the "pause".
  16. I can't remember what that little patch of asphalt was in the bottom center of the picture. I don't think it was a gas station, was it?

Each additional casino brings diminishing returns, so nowadays I'm not surprised when expected or common additions don't pan out.
  18. People hate downloading apps for single or uncommon events in their lives.
  19. App makers are obsessed with apps since they have almost no regulations as compared to the web.
  20. You can't say anyone was "wrong" or "right" if you pick the right time frame.

Not sure, going off of DTCL11's post which may or may not be facetious.

    ^Yes, that's why they're adding, apparently, it's 3rd smoking porch
  23. GCrites replied to a post in a topic in Completed Projects
The gaming industry hates the idea of people having to stop gambling to smoke. It's an opportunity for them to decide to leave or stop playing for the day as well.
  24. I love it. I congratulate the past owner(s) for their restraint. A lot of bored people would have just painted all the trim white and the walls medium gray.
  25. Lockbourne could use this kind of action
