  1. They had a reputation for really knowing what they're doing but now they're pulling out on more than Wilt Chamberlain.
  2. A 2019 resident is like 40% of a 1990 resident as due to Universal Couchlock and Amazon.
  3. As much glee as it would bring us to see them miserable, if they get too filled with rage we'll wind up with Cranely and Slitherman in the White House
  4. "Hold Green" will actually anger non-riders because it could throw off other signals much in the way ambulances and fire trucks rob you of your green. Then you sit there through two full 4-phase cycles as traffic stacks up behind you and can even block other intersections behind you. By this point the fire-breathing suburbanites have burned their steering wheels off. Real signal priority comes with a coordinated light timing scheme throughout the vicinity.
  5. What needed to happen -- which was that engines needed to reach a specific horsepower to weight ratio -- happened very close to the invention of manned, powered flight. Without that requirement it would have happened much earlier.
  6. Confused now, are they renovating the original White Castle HQ building or demoing it?
  7. Aerodynamic lift is actually a very simple concept-- just the calculations and propulsion method had to be sorted out. That's how birds and insects mastered it and how every single person over the age of 7 can make a paper airplane.
  8. Shut up Broadview (used to live on that street). All of us know that we live there BECAUSE of the businesses in the vicinity. We could all go live in Hillard for half as much any time if we wanted to be surrounded by nothing but houses for miles.
  9. That was the first time that I was really disappointed in a video game system. Xmas '92. "Niner!"
  10. ^I think what troeros is saying is that in theory OTR was always a desirable place due to its natural talent for good urbanism.
  11. I would definitely say don't make a decision where to open a bar based on the existence of Uber
  12. ^That's happened in Columbus like 4 times since 1970.
  13. My maternal grandmother's family (Stauffer) is from here -- several generations ago. Emigration patterns of the 1800s led them to Monroe County, the "Switzerland of Ohio". I'd say we'd be better off going back.
  14. Obetz' old mayor said he was going to take away access to the current Crew training facility unless they brought a Browns event to Fortress Obetz. He got voted out a couple weeks ago though.
  15. Was the Shillito's Garage store more like a Wallgreens than a department store?
  16. ^Marketing Place would be a worthwhile alternative for the alignment as well.
  17. Anything that can be done to slow the speed of potential customers does wonders for the businesses on any given stretch. Oh and be sure to check out Bridge Park and the corn sculptures while in Dublin ?
  18. I'd say the hard seltzer thing has more in common with the wine cooler, Zima and Smirnoff Ice demographics of the past than beer drinkers... but beer has been hot for 600 years while those other ones are associated with coming of age in 1992, 1997 and 2002 respectively.
  19. If improved signal timing isn't enough, what about routing all Williams Rd. traffic onto a widened Investors Drive then connecting with Directors Blvd. and meeting with Hamilton at the current Directors Blvd. intersection? Changes to the Directors Blvd. intersection are already on the docket which I think is in anticipation of this change.
  20. Any number of vehicles can get you that number of seats, not just the Pilot. Van people want those seats and VAN DOORS which crossovers and SUVs do not have.
  21. Not if Slitherman wins.
  22. Parents of natives also want to keep their kids in town and not have to subisdise their existence in far-off cities with rail transit. Especially as the offspring reach their late 20s-30s and the parents might need help with certain things depending on their age. "How Are You Going to Keep Them Down on the Farm?" With rail transit, that's how.
  23. Parma is home to auto paint manufacturer Eastwood, home to R/C paint company Parma/PSE and was home to hobby paint manufacturer Pactra before it was acquired by Testors.
  24. Ginther would actually have to DO something instead of just show up to meetings.
  25. ^"purveyors" Why is there so much strange language associated with the North Market?
