  1. Made it all the way to May 2024. Most of those warehouse project cancelations happened in 2022-early 2023.
  2. This is how it is perceived by residents of the D.C. metro.
  3. Not to mention the horrible politicians and how lonely it can be to be the only person around who went to college.
  4. Appalachia is also a degree-in-the-trash type place unless you work remotely or can find something in the public sector.
  5. That's a creative way to spam these commissions right before they lose power
  6. Housing in Cleveland is still double what it can be in Appalachia. I remember being at SSU and when the students from Cincinnati suburbs found out they could stay in Appalachia and buy a house for $50k after teaching a couple years of middle school they took it. They had seen their parents struggle to pay off the 250k mortgage their folks had in Anderson or whatever and saw a way out.
  7. Plus Dr. Squatch has Star Wars and every company wants in on Star Wars
  8. Walking past people's houses while they are doing laundry and smelling Tide like the house is a Burger King cooking

The gas station might not have the right distributors to get the stuff the riders want.

Hunt Brothers Pizza and Chester's just couldn't keep up with the demand.
  11. I was watching them from the Pickaway side at work. Really sweet!
  12. Rustic as in 1 business then 15 houses, 1 business another 15 houses, 1 business. Will this have two or even three businesses side-by-side?
  13. At least they're 3BRs. The market doesn't supply nearly enough of those anymore and when they do it's expensive.
  14. That's the issue in Linden once you get away from Cleveland - with all that SFH with big yards around it's harder to get even a 5-over-1 built like you see in the older multifamily-oriented neighborhoods.
  15. Because red state anti-intellectualism repels college graduates and not everyone wants to have to be a roofer for a living. Republicans didn't do anything to keep white-collar jobs from fleeing to the coasts since they want people who went to college to leave.
  16. Yeah if it's only McJobs who cares. The economy has gotten super bottom-heavy like it was before the Depression.
  17. Get off of your shift at Timken and stroll across the street to get some chicken
  18. If colleges would just allow people to have the traditional 4-year college experience with the full general ed program while learning a trade the trades wouldn't have so many problems attracting people. People don't want to have to marry someone from high school at 19 because they will never be around another member of the opposite sex ever again.
  19. I want to bet on the number of stations propsed! Then parlay that into ridership projections!
  20. Make sure it's an ONLY lane so everyone has to switch lanes.
  21. It's a lot easier to for each location to turn a profit overseas because a city of two million has 10 locations instead of 150 like they do here.
  22. That crappy fryer oil here is the result of pressure from one American food safety advocate in 1990.

Well yes, I voted in it. I should have said an uncompetitive primary.
