  1. Jeez obetz just has that one old church that I know of. Now refugee between 33 and eastland mall has that stuff in spades near the dead putt-putt and the old frank's nursery.
  2. Those are otherwise successful chains. Asking one demographic to keep that many of the same type of business alive is too much. Especially when they aren't even around four months out of the year. I was thinking about why businesses have a harder time turning a profit serving UC students as compared to other schools with similar non-commuter populations. Then it hit me: co-op. If the students are off working, whether it's Downtown, the west side or NYC they're not on and around campus consuming. Now think about it if you are a businessperson that's not aware of UC culture and co-op and all your normal planning process for a new location say it's going to work. Then you open and there's only half as many butts in your seats as you would expect. Money down the drain. Does anybody have comparisons for commercial rents at UC as compared to similar properties in say Columbus and other medium size cities with sizable urban campuses? I know I'd demand lower rent if half the students were absent at any given time.
  3. When are cafeterias going to come back? That's all most fast casual places are anyway.
  4. As the article states, companies won't train anybody. You better already work there (or do the same job for a direct competitor) or you can't work there.

Unless they don't have anything better to do and are montoring their friend list for unfriending activity.

Being into motorcycles will introduce you to plenty of flatbillers for sure. Though the ones around here don't have the bro trucks.

How interesting can or should an ad about power wheelchairs, catheters and class-action lawsuits be? So much of it is the product. You can make a sexy banana commercial: but there's no real way to sell diabetes testing supplies besides just the facts. Also I think "clean design" ruined TV advertising as well by filling people's living rooms with white or some other monochrome rather than putting effort into the cinematography of them to make ads compelling.

You seem to be getting a little emotional yourself. Well I came home from work and it appears that we're now 24 hours into Robin Williams mania. The posts just keeping coming, like 1 out of 3 posts have something to do with this guy. A lot of people spend way more time "with" actors than friends, family and co-workers or engaging in personal development.

And it being Cincinnati, their personal networks are probably stacked with people that can get them good jobs.

Oh NASCAR bros. When I lived in Cincinnati (mid-late 2000s) I first moved there and realized that no one was into NASCAR. Then slowly as NASCAR lost popularity in the mainstream, interest in NASCAR began to ramp up in and around Cincinnati. I don't know if it's because Kentucky Speedway reached maturity and got a Cup race OR if they're just into it in order to claim higher Republican status. Probably a little of both.

That means he could still make a boss with a flat-top haircut and an F150 happy with 30 minutes at the barber if necessary. The ohio challenge.

Meijer in 1994 was the epicenter of normcore though.
  17. My other problem was since high school started so early in my district that I didn't eat at school at all since lunch was at like 10:45 and I wasn't hungry yet. I've never liked lots of food early in the day and coupled with nerves because of girls and general teen jitteryniess I just didn't eat anything until I got home. Then massive amounts of food when I got home because I'd be having a near-death experience by 2PM.

I don't think normcore has goatees.
  19. Most childhood obesity is caused by daily binge eating while at home. Vegetables don't even register as food to kids, so they just binge eat even more when they get home if lunch was peas and milk.

I bet the only places in Ohio are lakes and strip mines.

Do you get a lot of sit-down alone? Seems like people get abandoned a lot more in that scenario. Especially if they're not drinking alcohol.

OU was definitely accessible through Telnet at that time. That's what I used at least through 2000.
