There was almost no one at my high school like that. Half of the luchroom was the trailer park kids leaving everybody else crammed together on the other side forced by circumstance to get along.

"Normal" is a known quantity and those guys have no qualms about networking and asking people for money. Just Do It

It will take a much longer time though for the white kids. The white underclass holds on to outdated looks much longer than the rest of the population.
  4. Gr8 stuff!
  5. Lots of glass block makes me think of softcore porn.
  6. Haha, I'd like to see that raunchy Ragtime band. Like when you hear the cave music from Mario 2 on a real piano it sounds like a strip joint in 1907.
  7. Those are otherwise successful chains. Asking one demographic to keep that many of the same type of business alive is too much. Especially when they aren't even around four months out of the year.

That must have moved to Monroe. I love the hand-painted signs like the "Sweeper Shops" you see in Appalachia have.
  9. Hey, take it easy on your alter ego ;)
  10. The big Borden plant was on 5th east of 4th and west of the the train tracks.

Haha, I taped The Simpsons a bunch when I was a teen. I tell myself, "Just think, you could have taped all kinds of weird unusual stuff back then -- stuff no one else has, stuff not on Youtube -- but instead you taped a show that's still on four times a day on the rabbit ears"

We've got the Hannibal one here at work!

    A-Team Season 4 on a tube TV
  14. Cincinnati's in the Rust Belt?
  15. Why is it that when Cincy stuff comes to C-bus are the locations mega-suburban? Skylines are all over Old Cincinnati but up here they're all close to or outside 270. Montgomery Inn is all the way up there in Dublin in the dead strip mall, yet Montgomery isn't really that far from core 'Nati and of course they've got the Boathouse. Then Tom + Chee is in CDB Cincinnati and NotL but here is on 256? Did the Sharks from Shark Tank demand this?

I'm not sure that something that happened in China is really relevant. The standards are different there and the corruption is an order of magnitude worse. ... except that their earnings are down ridiculously - and this was to blame, but they'll recover (as always). The regular Joe doesn't care, which is a shame. Yeah a lot of American shareholders would make some joke about eating dog
  17. Form-based code is an attempt to undo segregated-use zoning. Zoning was a genie let out of a bottle. You didn't need form-based code prior to zoning because form-based is the natural order of things. But now in the absence of any code you'll wind up with attempts to put anything anywhere.
  18. That Chesapeake area where their HQ now is a top secret part of town.
  19. I wonder if English is the only language that uses the same word for a "place to put a toilet" and "a place to buy food".
  20. there are Harley-Davidson dealerships. The H-D brand is going through financial issues. They've closed their Motor Cafe division and bike sales are down. Bikes are considered a luxury. I wouldn't mind seeing a dealership and other non clothing retail locations open in downtown. That would show the market is in need and can support various types of businesses. Making downtown a popular regional destination. Sales of smaller bikes are doing OK. Harleys are considered kind of an old people thing now.
  21. That's very common in fast food.

    My first name is Gordon.
  23. That's true. Most Americans still own bikes even if they live in the middle of nowhere.

Everybody seems to love today's "clean design" but to me it all looks like stuff I could do myself in MS Paint. There's nothing about it that captures your imagination.
