  1. It's hard to tell where anybody stays. Even if someone's ID says one part of town, they can really live anywhere. I never told the BMV when I lived 4 years in Portsmouth or 2 years in W. Va.

Crites is German for Christ, my child.

A lot of people hate the Newtown cops too.
  4. The ones in Columbus are at least 50 pounds if not 75. I didn't really think about the possibility of stubby 155mm cranks off of a 20" girls bike being fitted to these. That's lame. They're probably afraid of people eating it because their pedal scraped the ground while they were turning.
  5. These were my 'Nati days.
  6. Yes. Post the title and paraphrase. No link. Then if someone really wants to read it, they can dig for it. What happened to the Enquirer of six months ago that *didn't* want the project cancelled? I guess they just wanted two more years of stirring up controversy where there is none, just for the page clicks. That's just sad. I'm only able to listen to WLW in small bits now, but it seems like their streetcar "coverage" has really dropped off. All I hear 'em talk about now is the Reds.
  7. I don't like getting sit-down alone the way it is now. It's weird.
  8. Good meeting everybody today! I got a lift home from urbanexplorer in case you guys felt like I pulled a disappearing act.
  9. And now they're moving again to Dublin.

Yeah the fumes made me woozy when I dumped them down the utility sink.

My salt is from 1998. Also hard liquor can go bad. I found some bottles in the bathroom cabinet at my parent's house that were at least 50 years old and left over by the previous occupants. They had separated into a dry, sticky layer and a mineral spirits layer.

The stock-up system probably results in more wasted food unless you've got a pack of teenagers showing up after school to clean you out.

Small towns in WV have a ton too. There's even a website that documents them and has pictures.

A guy on a fat tired bike nearly ate it right in front of me as I was driving in the Short North on Tuesday. It had just rained and he did one of those low-sides that almost turns into a high-side. I don't think they're good on wet pavement.

What a combo: #1 draft pick and the possible Return of the King.

That's a lie. Downtown Columbus has a full-service grocery store with only, I'd say, 3,000ish residence within a 10 block radius. Ditto with Constantinos in Cleveland or better yet...the KROGER in downtown Portsmouth! It even has a mural!!! http://img.groundspeak.com/ Spent plenty of time staring at that one in college while sitting in Frank 'N Steins.

I'd imagine that a lot of the ones in cities at that time still made you ask for everything that wasn't in a can or a bag of flour. Unlike the self-serve supermarkets out in the 'burbs.

I wish Columbus made more sense to me even after 25 total years here. I need to Columbus Columbus. This city is all secrets. Perhaps we'll all learn some Saturday.

I love the composition of your photos but I'm not really into the post production. It's too Xboxy for my taste. That's just me though.
  20. Seems like the cost of electricity has gone up over the past 6 months.
