He talked like a novice version of those salesmen that sell innovative home goods at the State Fair.

Pet Peeves!
Yeah, bar soap in public is no good, but it's better than none. One thing that I noticed is that in Appalachia it's traditional to prop men's rooms doors open as long as there's a partition or turn that makes it so that people can't see inside. That way men don't have to touch the doors. We don't do that in Ohio. I was watching some '80s movie recently and they had those dispensers that spit out the powder soap. I had forgotten about those. That and that standard brown and beige dispenser with the outline of a soapy hand that spit out the pink soap that was everywhere.

Bar soap really has taken a beating over the past 15 years hasn't it? Sorta like spray deodorant. Bar soap 'til death for me.

He might be in the early stages of some kind of age-related brain disorder. I'm definitely not educated in that sort of thing, but his lack of verbal impulse control could indicate something like that. I don't remember if he was like that in the '90s.

Kasich is smoooooooth. He knows how to change positions on issues without being called a flip-flopper. He'll put on any face that he feels the people want in order to win and is excellent at following polls. He's 1000X better than Romney at it. In fact, he knew to stay away from Mandel and Romney because he could sense that they were toxic to his re-election hopes or even to a possible presidential run in '16.

A lot of people didn't know how ridiculous Reagan's policies were at the time. It took years for their poisons to become effective.

There's too many people out there that don't know that. Sorta like Bill O'Rielly. That's certainly true of talk radio too, but the main problem with it is not their detractors not knowing it's an act but their followers.

Ugh, working at a place where everybody worships Chipotle would be worse. You think Apple has an annoying user base...

Ohio Congressional Redistricting / Gerrymandering
Man, that was weird. Ohio was pretty much all Democrats including the governor in the '80s. Of course, here in Seabus we had a long string of Republican mayors to offset things. I can't picture the city of Columbus having a Republican mayor today.

Is Free Rent Enough to Jumpstart a Sleepy Commercial District?
Hmmm. Free rent can certainly help, but it's still no good if the foot traffic is ass. Lots of other bills out there, too. The benefits of it vary greatly with each business' situation.

Columbus: Local Media News & Discussion
I'm kinda surprised in an article about a radio station, not one mention of the music format. I used to love CD101 when I lived in Columbus, but then somewhere along the way they just stopped playing new music. I didn't want to listen to the Verve Pipe and Blur forever. Yeah I know what you mean. I find myself listening more and more to 106.7 and even 99.7. I want to support local radio but it seems like they aren't playing the new stuff or when they do its pretty obscure bands. I like hearing obscure bands but not when they suck and are being played to get some hipster indie street cred or something. :-) There is no mainstream in the world of rock music any more, so all there is out there is old stuff, American Idol trash and hipster street cred bands that won't ever get really big. It's the new normal. I like 102.5 the way it is now, but this is coming from the perspective of someone who grew up as a metalhead that sought nuggets by combing through obscure bands' catalogs (such as bands from the New Wave of British Heavy Metal in the '80s). I a lot of times actually change the station when a Foo Fighters song or, God forbid, one of those sucky '80s alternative bands comes on. But the advertisers need that stuff in there and it pulls in people who would otherwise skip over the station. I'll take the hipster stuff any day -- a lot of it is fun.

Only on Bulls hit Mountain. President Obama is polling better than he did in 2008. You're not Jewish, are you? Are you claiming to speak for them? Which does not make sense. How many people do you know or know of that didn't support Obama in '08 are supporting him this year? How many the other way around? Another belief supported by anecdotes winds up being untrue. What a surprise. Also, I do know of at least one person who completes the requirement of your challenge, actually.

Cincinnati: Interstate 75
ODOT generally picks the blandest way to do things. I have friends that are highway and bridge engineers who moved here from other states for work and they all comment on that.

Facebook
One thing that often happens with vehicles with a lot of competition is that they see their sales drop as new competing models are introduced and other vehicles are improved. The "B-segment", of which Fiesta is a member, does have a lot of different cars available. I don't think that tells the whole story, though.

Gas Prices
Another cause in the rise of food prices is "flight to necessity" as I call it, or simply renewed interest in commodities at the expense of other asset classes. Pixel money is increasingly considered frilly as compared to the money that goes into feeding the Earth.

or That's how you frame it in order to manipulate people. Nothing against either poster -- that really is how Israel is framed in this country.
