Cincinnati: Eliminating Parking Requirements for Downtown & OTR
Probably the work of some 1960s effort to help make downtown areas competitive with the suburbs with regard to auto dependency.

GCrites replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionNow people will really start thinking OU is in Columbus. I remember when the signs on I-70 at 256 went up for OU-Pickerington and OU-Lancaster they just said "Ohio University Next Exit" and people from outside the area started telling me they thought it was really neat that both OU and Ohio State were in Columbus. I think they changed the signs later.- Cincinnati: University of Cincinnati: Development and News
I used to stare at those things during smoke breaks. Even just a different paint job would help; all that dingy aluminum and those black '60s motel panels are really harsh.- Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News

Probably the left one is for high, middle and low range, while the right one is for the six gears within each range. The left one controls the derailleur on the front sprocket and the right one the rear.- Columbus: Bicycling Developments and News

You can't expect much from '50s architecture, that's for sure.- The Tea Parties War on Mass Transit
In the semi-rural area where I attended high school, there's a van that picks up disabled kids from the trailer park across the road from our farm and takes them back and forth to school. They can't access a regular school bus. Elderly people can call the bus and have it take them to the store. Tea Partiers probably love it since it keeps the exurbs moving, has tires and shows up when you call it. They probably don't know or care that it's very expensive per rider since it uses "paid for" roads. Nonetheless, it's quite necessary for the built landscape we've created.- The Tea Parties War on Mass Transit
Ratings is the reason Fox themselves cited, but I'm sure there were other factors at play as you state.- The Tea Parties War on Mass Transit

Most of 'em probably don't know that since they refuse to learn how the government works because it is "bad". Well, the Tea Party phenomenon is dying off anyway. They're all going to vote Republican anyway, so the Republicans have just absorbed them back in. Fox News has backed off on the Tea Party stuff too since it wasn't good for ratings. Republicans, as politicians, love to spend money just as much as the Dems and have a lot more money as an organization than the Tea Party did.- Columbus: Scioto Mile Riverfront Park News
Hmmm, I don't know about tearing down Vets without replacing it with another smaller convention center/theater. Vets is a good place for small conventions and concerts that don't get rowdy and is still popular with those groups. It's age and paid-off status is useful for those on a budget. But it looks like there's room for another stadium anyway on the City of Columbus parcel.- All Aboard Ohio

I bet their orders have something wrong with them 5X as much as people who lack the compulsion to speak at all times. They deserve the wasted time and gas for trip back to the store to fix it. I'm kinda glad the cell phone exists sometimes -- but not often. It exposes people's personality flaws so that I can make sure to avoid contact with them in the future.- US Economy: News & Discussion
Indeed. I've studied PIMCO a bit, yet had never heard of ZROZ despite the fact that its catchy acronym makes it sound like The Boz's Soviet nemesis. It's not exactly an edgy security.- Off Topic
