God these video's are so tired! Same formula, video after video after video. A creative video wouldn't be manipulative enough.
  2. Who can walk to this site, really? It's practically impossible to retrofit 1960s sprawl to a non-autocentric use without going with a clean-slate design and some form of rail stop.
  3. I would have refused to go to UC if the CoB was out in an auto-centric area.
  4. And, the cars are Camrys, not monster SUVs

^ A good response may be "It's only as big of a party school as someone makes it."

I like that idea as well, but as was mentioned by someone else, the Statehouse probably wouldn't like the idea of the casino being so close. It would provide symbolism for those who may think the Statehouse is in the casino's pocket.
  7. From what materials are they made?
  8. True, but it does keep renters from ending up out on the streets and then later suffering the inconvenience and cost of moving involuntarily.

Columbus: Anyone and everyone from the mitten part of Michigan. Except Kid Rock and ICP though it seems. The U.P. to gets a free pass as well.

Columbus as a whole seems to be less enamored with the casino as the rest of the state, perhaps due to the Arena District proposal The NE side of Downtown seems sleepiest at this time; the casino might be better off just east of the Convention Center.

^That's right, Shaq and Lebron together can't even overpower my spell!
  12. Whats a DeSota? Sounds like the writer is from Ohia!

The exact opposite happens to me. When I move to a city the teams always get worse.

I've really believed in BNI for years now. B-H is proof I'm not totally nuts.

That article mentioned firebombing. It seems to me that all throughout its history (including today) Columbus has had a lot more firebombing activity than other cities.

What travel mode are you using?

Wesley Willis could do that as well. I've seen drawings of Chicago done by him in this manner.

^ I like how the kids are standing up against unwalkable environments! And in Reynoldsburg of all places.
  20. I think it's because many large corporations don't do anything for us except rob of us our livelihood. It used to be that GM was the company that put food on everyone's table and made cars that people wanted. Now they are known just as the ones that took away our transportation options, moved production outside the US, makes chintzy cars and gets "free money" form the government. The downtown department store that featured hours of fun an entertainment for shoppers, knowledgeable, fairly well-paid salespeople, a classy shopping experience and streetlife has been replaced by Wal-Mart, with bland stores full of white trash, crummy goods, a staff not expected by the store (or the customer) to know anything and products from Third-World countries. Nice restaurants have been ran out by chains full of fatty foods. The overall trust of the government today is a byproduct of the complete mistrust of large corporations. We are in a time similar to Sherman's "Trustbusting" era of the 1890s.
  21. No. But I don't see how they would know my new address.
  22. I've been getting cards in the mail from Cincinnati City Council candidates. Yet, I live in Columbus now. They are addressed to my Columbus address, not forwarded from my old Cincinnati one. I've gotten them from Qualls, Greg Harris and Tony Fischer (2). Why wouldn't their computers reject non-Cincinnati ZIPs, or at least non metro ones? Strange.

Speaking of turning drivers...people who take 10 years to make a simple 90 degree turn. Ahaha, like people who come to a complete stop to turn even they don't need to. You see that a lot in Portsmouth.

Is this that town that supposedly has an airraid siren powered by an old German Messerschmidt engine? I refuse to go to that crazy siren forum posted here a few years back.
  25. Wow, those are nice. It would have been way easier to make G1 ('80s) robots. I'm going to put G1 Starscream in my yard now.
