Not Even Tornadoes Will Go to Downtown Cincinnati?
They always go off the first Wednesday at 12 pm each month. I think it's every Wednesday.

Not Even Tornadoes Will Go to Downtown Cincinnati?
Yes, I bet someone at the siren forum could help out with this.

License plates
Front plate probably isn't going anywhere. A lot of '90s cars and some of today's cars don't have enough flat surfaces to reflect laser speed detection back at the gun in order to obtain a reading. The front license plate serves that purpose.

Urban Ohio "Picture Of The Day"
^ I wonder what they sell there.

I've got an idea. Run out there with an air horn and blast it in their face.

People from "older" parts of the world come to the States, see churches in strip malls, warehouses and old construction trailers and their jaws drop. Some Georgian girls I knew said that all of their churches at home are anywhere from 400 to 1200 years old. They couldn't believe it when they saw EIFS megachurches and ones that used to be video stores.

The guy was thrown from the car and unconscious. What was their reason for beating him? This is one of the reasons, I do not like to visit the South.

Some states already do this, but not "Slowhio".

Columbus: General Business & Economic News
It's a shame these jobs won't be Downtown, but we'll definitely still take them. The author even described the location as "sprawling". tee hee

Cincinnati: Corryville: 2600 Vine Redevelopment
It would be smart for them to wait and see what the streetcar does for the area before bulldozing entire blocks.

X interpreted my post as I intended it to read. A large dog is the largest animal you'd want to hit with a car, but in moderate to heavy traffic I certainly endorse hitting dogs over other cars or losing control of the vehicle. When there's no one around, of course don't hit the dog. In most situations, a clear-headed individual that is paying proper attention can make the decision whether to hit an object or avoid it.

US Economy: News & Discussion
A lot of people (including myself) thought he was a genius back then, but now not so much. It's interesting that there is still lots for us to learn about economic matters.

What Columbus needs
I can eventually picture a Youngstown-esque demolition of '90s-early '00s Columbus subdivisions within 30 years as they become unloved, uninhabited and undergo rapid decay.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
^ Sounds like that lame "But this is 'Murica!" thing that conservatives throw at people any time they propose the use of successful ideas from any other country here -- as if the only good ideas are thought of here.

Remember that in driver's ed they tell you to just hit dogs. If people are swerving to avoid dogs in traffic, they are making things very dangerous for themselves and others around them. It's just a dog; I hope people remember that.

^ The 1950s version of "progress" involved everyone driving everywhere. It sure turned out great!

What Columbus needs
^ Yea, there is some really sweet '50s-'60s stuff if you know where to look. Parts of UA, Bexley are a good place to start, and also around Noe-Bixby between Broad and Main. Sometimes it will go, "Bland, bland, sweet, bland, sweet, bland, bland".

Pet Peeves!
This annoys the hell out of me too. What are these banks thinking? The casual dress overload in this country is eroding our national dignity.

It's Amazing How History Repeats Itself...
Yeah - you don't have to sneak around drinking until you're 21. Indeed, so kids don't make it their prime directive to get as hammered as possible. Having gone to college in Europe, I can attest otherwise. It's not really any different. Oh, I had heard otherwise; maybe just in the cities I visited it wasn't like the U.S.

What Columbus needs
^ Eastland isn't really a dying mall at the present.
