Columbus: The Terraces On Walhalla
^ Yeah, Clintonville does have a more "zoned" feel. Maybe it's a matter of perspective for people since so much of Columbus is newer. As I look for apartments in various parts of Columbus for my third assault on the city, I keep finding myself saying, "This area is older, yet it's still not that walkable!" I almost want to live in Old Groveport where I grew up to live somewhere that's on a human scale, but I'm having trouble finding rentals.

Favorite Chain Pizza
So there is mediocre food in NYC? The times I was there we just randomly went into restaurants and every time it was fantastic.

Pet Peeves!
Ive got a new one! I drive a small sports car (Porsche 944) and it really pisses me off when I'm surrounded by SUVs, and they start honking at me to say turn left at a light or right at a stop sign when I can't tell if it's safe to go even though they can -- because I'm surrounded by SUVs. Listen, not everyone is sitting unnecessarily 10 feet off the ground just because they can't think for themselves enough to know that SUVs are only for forest rangers and race car teams pulling trailers. Advertising-addled zombies.

Cincinnati Streetcar / The Connector News
^ Sounds like they are falling for the "one big bank account for everything" fallacy or at least want their constituency to believe that's how it works. Leaders that are in the know probably know better than that, so I'm leaning toward the latter.

I do like the tower. Why are really generic-looking signs charming in NYC but almost nowhere else? I don't know, but it's true.

What's a Yankee Swap? Is that something people do north of I-70?

90's "The Blunder Years"
This is just awful. I can't stand it. It makes me want to vomit. I went to high school in the '90s, and a girl would be drawn and quartered socially for pulling a stunt like that. I don't care if a girl has good bone structure in her face and a nice body, if she is in public looking like that (besides at the laundromat or getting a quick pack of morning smokes) she is NOT hot.

What Obama may mean for Cities
^ Plus, computers don't become obsolete nearly as quickly today as they did in the '90s except in something like a graphic design lab.

Suburban Sprawl News & Discussion
Old Groveport is cool. What's around it is not. Old Milford is cool. New Milford is not. Old Grove City is cool, but tiny. The rest is lame and huge. etc.

^ Ol' Mom just took the test yesterday. She's retired, but it looks like she will be doing the census again for 2010 in Pickaway County. She did it in 2000.
