  1. It looks so silly. Zombies.

^ Ooh, ooh, to make it like Portsmouth, the 45 year old guy has to be on a 20 inch girls bike.
  3. Hahahahahahahahaha!
  4. Aw, the demolition is so controlled. Want more smash!

    Cincinnati gets everything last!
  6. I think Gutter Center's sales were doing fine there. They probably wanted a larger store and to get off the sinking ship. Note also that they will be very close to Sam Ash; those big music stores tend to cluster like car dealerships.
  7. ^ Apparently 2.08 people work at each Check 'N Go location.
  8. ^ Love the idea so far! The last place casinos need to be right now is in the boonies!
  9. Did anybody else get a robo-call from Jim Brown? Jim just let it loose against issue 6, talking how it won't work. They probably selected him due to his pull in Cleveland.

You've got a point. Corporate propaganda (mostly through TV) is responsible for a disgustingly disproportionate percentage of decision making. No logical person would make the decision to live an SUV/McMansion/isolated/consumption-oriented lifestyle without years of constant inundation by some major force. The only way people will cut back on piggery is through years of the same kind of marketing blitz afforded to consumption. But where's the money in that? This is capitalism (always the best system), so the only other way to enlighten people is to hit them in the pocketbook so hard that they have few chances to be pigs.

I've read a lot of the books in which these pictures appear. I don't remember which pictures go with which books, but they are chock full of fantastic stuff like this. Go on down to the main library and look for Cincinnati history books. Plus, you will have the opportunity to touch a book that I have read and possibly sneezed around.

Anybody know what kind of siren is in War Pigs?

My god! Did you happen to smuggle in any streetcars? I like the picture of the "Box" (red '80s Impala with big wheels). They don't build those out West, do they?
  14. A lot of times, overdraft fees are forgiven once the customer talks to the bank. And, banks are very receptive to negotiation when you have racked up a larger amount of fees. Try that at the Rob 'N Go. "Ah, can I get a 100% APR instead of 300%?" I noticed that the lender described in the above article is not closing all of its locations, contrary to what the industry representatives stated.

^ You know it's Sad But True. What I do hope is that Obama will bring transit issues more to the forefront and raise the national consciousness of cities vs. suburbs/exurbs.
  18. I'm not opposed to gambling, but I didn't like the Wilmington plan. I voted no.
  19. Yeahhhha! Love Shake It! They've got lots of old metal on vinyl!

    I want pictures of chicks!
  21. Those are crappy locations. People living in those areas have seen the greatest erosion of their lifestyle due to the sprawl fallout and plant closings.

Of that list, I've only been to Berlin, Paris, Cologne (only for one hour) and Amsterdam. I liked Amsterdam the most, but Berlin was fascinating as well. I'm withholding my vote until I visit more cities.

Nope. Blast. I was going to drag the TSO discussion off-topic to the members' sweet old metal band Savatage.
  24. I used to simply say Metro, but I switched to The Metro because just Metro didn't sound right.

Blast. I knew I had been to the top one (Adams Morgan) but I couldn't place it.
