  1. ^ that chicks wearing one of those "Cobra Commander" masks, AKA big sunglasses. Why don't girls want us to see their face? It's like living under Islam. On another note, when I was in college, I never wore khaki shorts and flip flops. I think I was the only one.
  2. AHAHAHAHA, purchased at the school bookstore poster fair, no doubt!

Was that parent's weekend or something?
  4. Monroe County is a very special place. It is very remote by Ohio standards, rugged as all get-out, extremely scenic and doesn't get wrapped up in a lot of crap that the rest of the country does. edit: meant to type "country" instead of "county" in the second sentence.

I think the U.S. automakers just don't want to build high-quality small cars. They intentionally build inferior small cars to move you upmarket and upsize to large vehicles that they already know how to make a big profit from. They could figure out a way to do small cars much more profitably, but that margin would still pale in comparison to the $8,000-per-Escalade profit that they currently enjoy. Look at how high-quality the full-size trucks and SUVs from the U.S. automakers are - dead reliable, stout chassis, wonderful interiors and refined engines and transmissions. The smaller the vehicle gets, the more corners are cut and the quality and craftsmanship drop substantially. Many American consumers are zombied out to think there is no way to build a nice small car. The ones that aren't zombied-out have experienced the tightness, fit and finish, sharp handling and pleasant automobiling found with Honda, Mini, Toyota, small BMWs and Mazda.

I've determined that TV is the reason I plan on never having roommates again. The damn thing is always on. I can't say that I don't use my TV, simply because I watch a lot of music-related videos and auto racing footage on DVD and VHS, but I'm sure not letting the constant stream of propaganda, "Buy this!" and celebrated mediocrity that is regular TV into my home again.

Oh come ON!! Really? What is she like 15?? I refuse to concede that I am that old! Now, would you please hand me my cane? That's a good boy. Here, have a nice caramel. Their last big song was in 1990. She turned nine that year. I couldn't name the lead singer of the bands that first hit when I was five and stopped when I was nine. Not even then. I listened to a lot of Poison when I was 9 on the road to real metal at age 12.

^ I read his book, "Killing Yourself to Live". The Sabbath reference in the title pulled me in.
  9. ^Yeah, when Tiffany comes to town, many attached men's wallets take a beating. That store's all marketing.

Of course, a rail line could zip people from Columbus to Toledo.
  11. I'm real curious to see where you're going with this. Train accidents (not involving automobiles) don't happen as often, and bicycle crashes and on-foot falls tend to be less dangerous.
  12. How many train, bicycle and walking crashes happen in your area?

I remember strippers hanging out topless in front of the Statehouse when a new stripper law was up for debate back in the '90s.
  16. ^ Yeah me too, I've gotten off at 78 a milllion times, but just realized I've never actually been in town.
  17. More screens coming our way.

I've noticed that a lot of older hotels have been slathered with EIFS.
  19. HAHAHAHA, I wonder what's the deal.
  20. I imagine that over the years as the individual businesses update their design or tenants change, you may begin to see more variety on the Columbus cap.
  21. Actually, Jeep is Chrysler's hottest brand at the present; in fact, it is one of the U.S.'s strongest auto brands. That's why there are so many watered-down Jeeps coming out such as the Patriot, Compass, four-door Wrangler (which real Jeep people despise) and a new Liberty. In five years Jeep probably won't be a strong brand due to this tarnishing of the brand and of course fuel prices/changing lifestyles.

That's the old distribution office for the actual film rolls used at local theaters back in the analog days. Nowadays, they just e-mail the movies to the theaters.

^ Whatever do you mean? That video was very innovative and full of new ideas.
  24. Well at least they didn't remodel it 3 years before it closed like you see sometimes.
  25. This mall appears to be largely unmolested as compared to other malls of its vintage.
