Really cool area; a nice surprise for those looking to purchase Miller and Coors kegs.
  2. Well, of course, these are the "old" parts of these towns. Call me when all of Dublin, New Albany and Delaware County do this. Don't get me wrong, these are positive steps, but it all needs to be like that in these sprawly areas. In Delaware, is that Crossroads Music, Brickyard and Clancy's R-L?
  3. As a born and bred Columbusite, I notice that few cities struggle with the union vs. non-union issue as much as Columbus does. It's really in the showdown zone as compared with northeastern cities which are all union vs. Southern cities which are right-to-work. DISCLAIMER: I show no opinion either way, like I should.
  4. What a waste. HAHAHA Peachblow Rd. More smash for Delaware County.
  5. My family owns 425 acres near Rickenbacker, and we're going to get filthy rich off the rails and the sky, not the roads.
  6. The James Gang used horses.

NO, the early '90s was an era in and of itself. They had nothing to do with the '80s or the rest of the '90s. Never in the history of the world were the good things so split from the bad things. We had Alice In Chains, Nirvana, Megadeth, N.W.A. (and their respective solo efforts) vs. C+C Music Factory, Haddaway, Vanilla Ice, MC Hammer etc.

Is Nick Lachey related to Tim Lachey?

I think some of those trends fall more into the category of early '90s then '80s, such as bowl cuts, Skidz bibs, and shaving phrases such as OPP in your hair.
  10. OK gay fashion experts. I have some friends who are bisexual men. They dress like just plain ol' straight guys. How do the rules work for them? I'm a monster truck lovin' Busch drinkin' car fixin' metalhead straight guy, so I gotta admit that don't know.

I knew they called the hospital hill in Portsmouth "Pill Hill", but didn't know it was in use in the 'Nati as well.

Please God, don't tell me people buy PBR beer on the internet.
  13. I don't see anything wrong with this. Channel 53 in Columbus had a dance party from a club on Roberts Rd. (street cred central) for years. Who remembers Columbus Goes Bananaz, which literally spawned MTV (many on-air personalities from that show and behind-the-scenes people went to MTV when it launched) and featured one of U2's first U.S. appearances? OK, that's a different concept, but still!

Also, "America, Fuck Yeah!" really is a great choice except for the fact that it's a little unrealistic.

I neglected to mention that if Freebird was chosen that it would be at the END of any event. Always played by a live band; length of the song would be determined by the awesomeness of the event's entertainment value. Crummy Super Bowl, short Freebird.

This makes me think of Fred Ricart's version called "This Van is Your Van" used to promote Ricart Vanland.

I just don't see people ever having Wal-Mart nostalgia. Nothing goes on there. Malls had events from bands to car shows to fashion shows and Santa. They always had hot chicks running around, video arcades, movie theaters, majestic fountains, food courts for socializing and it was fun to just walk around and be mall rats. Wal-Mart is full of fat chicks and cheap shit.

Everybody knows the Star Spangled Banner is not that great of a song and hard to sing. There have been many pushes over the years to change it. There are many other great choices to select. Vote away.

The Delilah song, simply because it threatens our lives the most by being current and not ravaged by time. Here's a much better song about the Samson and Delilah

Man, I love towns like this. The oil rigs are due to Eastern Ohio's oil boom of the 1880s-1910s or so. Fun facts: Fran Drescher is actually from Flushing, Ohio and they do indeed fold thier pizza slices there. And what is now the New York Mets started there as the Flushing River Pilots.

I can tell most of my friends are going to have rotten kids because they have rotten dogs.
  23. Most target YPs are single without children. They aren't even thinking about kids yet. A "top ranked school system" would just scare them off because the area would attract too many families. YPs desire bars, upscale restaurants, walkable neighborhoods and exciting street life, not Discovery Zone, Chuck E. Cheese and Applebee's. People like this guy are the reason for sprawl and YPs leaving the city. I can also tell this guy knows nothing about money and how public entities obtain money. He thinks there's one big account for everything!
