Greater Cleveland Sports Commission News & Info
I think Cleveland would win the bid if the Browns stadium was built right with a retractable-roof. JMHO!

Cincinnati: Downtown: Mabley Place (formerly Tower Place Mall)
Does Tower Mall do well before and after games of the Reds and Bengals? With large crowds as an addition to downtown population should be able to support it.

Cleveland rates poorly Columbus tops re: disaster response
Noticed the cities that does well in disaster response are not located near major bodies of water, i.e. Minneapolis, Columbus, Laramie County (DUH!); however with San Diego being next to the ocean has always been a major naval/military city. Whereas, Cleveland and Chicago which I can see why. I find any analysis report from government to consultant-wannbes are full of crap.

Maumee, Ohio
Hey C-Dawg nice to know you are one of the Andersons. I love the store but I avoid the store on Talmadge because its crowded all the time. So I go to Woodville Rd. and it's crowded but not as much as the other ones. I want to pick your brains since Anderson's are our "Kennedys" hehe. Are there any plans to have Andersons ethanol plants around Toledo area soon? With abundance of agricultural lands and top-class transportation hub it would make sense to locate a plant here. Also with the surging stock prices and revenue anytime soon for hiring more white-collar jobs to add into our metro region? Andersons could add some corporate jobs in downtown Toledo and just a wishful thinking they could open an Anderson's store in downtown near the 5/3 field with a warehouse ambience and would really attract out-of-towners. Last but not least, Andersons are doing so well with the retail side they could open stores in Findlay, Perrysburg, North Toledo (near the booming Bedford Twp. community), Defiance and Fremont because a lot of NW Ohio folks love you and very dedicated to the quality products you provide for us. I'm looking forward to the low-downs of your view.

Sylvania
This building was built not too long ago (8-10 years ago) and it sits on a downhill slope landscape which may make it look crooked. This building is a Professional Building and just north (very left side in the picture) of the building they just opened up a brand new hotel (2-3 years ago) called the Wingate Hotel.

Maumee, Ohio
Never underestimate the rivalry between Maumee and Perrysburg since they sit on both sides of the river across from each other.

Rossford, Ohio
Rossford sits on a bluff of the Maumee River which is southeast of downtown Toledo. Rossford was known for it's Libbey-Ford-Owen Glass companies and many other glass factories. The residents definetly pride themselves with small-town atmosphere and their schools. Their population is over 6,000 and growing as they annex many open lands south of the "old" Rossford; the "new" Rossford has many hotels, restaurants, and big box stores nestled in an area known as "Crossroads of America" (I-80/90, 75, U.S. 20 and S. R. 795).

Perrysburg, Ohio
Perrysburg, Ohio has about 17,000 residents and it's growing like mad in the southern metro area of Toledo. The Town Center at Levis Commons made its debut in late 2004 and many expensive homes are crowding this community because of good schools. Owens-Illinois make their new home for the world headquarters beginning this September as they move from Toledo. I don't particularly care for this suburbia town but I love their downtown which is filled with shops and cafes:

Maumee, Ohio
Maumee is one of Toledo's suburb which right on the south side of the city limits. The population is about 15,000 and it's considered as a "job center" city since there are more employees who work in this town than the number of residents. Maumee was acknowledged as "All-America City" this year as they pride themselves on schools, neighborhoods, businesses, and quaint-like ambience to their community:

JD Power rankings for Airport Satisfaction
Toledo Express Airport is less than 50 miles away from the gigantic Detroit Metro which 80% of our region heads up to Motown for direct flights. Dayton International is awfully close to Cincy, Columbus, and Indianapolis. Akron Airport is close to Cleveland. I think within this tri-state area (OH, MI & IN) there are an abundance of airports to choose from only so many can be so big and so little. I prefer flying out of Toledo because it's convenient, accessible, affordable, and no long lines. I only go to Detroit if there's a long flight I must take to go places such as Vancouver, LA or Florida.

Toledo: Random Development and News
When are the Ohioans going to realize its not a regional or local problem? It's a state problem. The corruptions, the outdated laws, and outdated tax codes is killing this state. Whatever happens in Cleveland it happens in Toledo, Dayton, Cincy, Akron, so on and so on.

Chicago Cubs at Cincinnati, with Fireworks (short thread)
Great photo shots--but I don't care for the architectural aspect of the newly built Reds ball stadium. I think it's ugly.
